@@rrace002 - near zero gain, but sounds excellent! I’ve put a Borla ATAK on the last 3 vettes I’ve owned, and Stingers before that. Huge difference in the car’s personality. For the C8 I’d do it just to get rid of the square tips, but to each his own. If you’re good with the stock sound, awesome! BTW, congratulations on your C8, it’s an amazing car. ;-)

Every time David says "this part is specific to this system, it's unique, you won't find it on anything else", I add another $1000 to the price in my head.

@@christianm4459 Not everyone wants the obnoxious loud exhaust noise and the S-Type is the best starter to go from and you can add from there! I ended up adding an X-pipe and added 400CEL HFC's to replace the stock CAT's with MAK race pipes to my S550 and people compliment me on the sound everywhere I go.

Translation: This was such a PITA and I’m so effn glad this R&D is done.

That design looks nice, Borla has a a lot a thought built into this system. This exhaust just went to the top of my list for my C8.

WOW. Borla dove head first into C8 development. AAA+++. Still have my Borlas for my Z32. 19 years later.

I'm a certified Corvette master tech for a GM dealership. I do Corvette diag and accessories. I would absolutely love to install these for customers. You have me sold, I'll recommend Borla for anyone looking into an exhaust for their car. Love the work!

How are you liking the C8, worth it?

I'm definitely going for the Attak when I get a C8. It sounds awesome.

PLEEEEASE HURRY AND COME OUT ALREADY! Once I bought the borla atak for my c7 it was game over! The cold starts got me in the mood to drive everyday! Been waiting for this exhaust over a year ago to buy and I DONT EVEN HAVE THE C8 yet! Should get it in the next 2-3 weeks, I pray yall have this up and ready to purchase before so I can hear that LOUD growl! 🏎💨

I've been hearing people who have the Corsa exhaust and they're saying it's not what they anticipated or wanted, sort of disappointed. Here in Indy, I know of no one who has swapped exhaust yet. Hearing them online or in video is difficult at best. David I've messaged you via FB and appreciate the response and add! Hopefully I can make a decision within the next month or so and have Rahal Performance (GRP) in Brownsburg, IN outsource the part and install it for me. Appreciate the R&D and what you're doing!

I watched a video of a guy with a blacked out c8 and he was all, "its stock". And I couldn't believe it because the sound was just so much better. And I did notice these carbon tips on the car but at the time I thought they were just decorative tips to get rid of the square tips. Anyway, here we are just a few days later and I see that actually the tips were showing the Borla exhaust. So his c8 wasn't stock. What a great job Borla has done making the c8 sound way better than stock.

I have the attak on my c5. Love it! Makes the car exciting to drive.

Kudos to Borla for the R&D and attacking the exhaust system with Japanese like mentality where aftermarket exhaust is considered and art of music, styling and engineering at the same time. Made in America for the World to enjoy. Borla is an example of a company that can compete with the best :)

I’ve got the Borla S-Type exhaust on my ‘20 STI and it is by far my favorite exhaust on any car I’ve ever had. Now that I’m looking for a C8, I will most definitely be getting another Borla exhaust. These sound amazing 😍

Just ordered the S-type exhaust as well. Could you let me know how the sound levels are? I'm concerned it might be too quiet. I had the S-type on my 6th Gen Camaro and I absolutely loved the S-type. Hoping it's the same for on my C8!

@@Shaolinxtv Well, at least on my WRX STI (nothing like a C8), it’s fairly loud. Is it the loudest exhaust? No. AWE track and some others are louder. But it sounds really good to me. Makes my little 4banger sound like a mini v8 lol. My all time favorite corvette exhausts are the Billy Boat Bullet systems, but I’m not even sure if they’re around anymore. I’m sure the Borla sounds awesome too though, if they’re anything like what’s on my STI. Good luck!

S-Type with Kooks headers and it will be AMAZING! I have that on my 17 Camaro SS and it sounds perfect. I personally think the ATAK is too raspy.

Ok finally, BORLA I missed... I had borla on my C5 and loved the sound..of course loud version one. But on C7 I was really disappointed in the sound. Very sad. BUT YOUR back !!!! It is sounding and looking like you took time and did a great job. I don't care about npp valves or making it quite. That's not me.. muscle cars owned since I was young, and I thank you for making it great again. No offense but C7 did not care for at all actually prefer stock exhaust but borla X pipe was added see still supported you. But no C8 yet but when it happens NOW I CAN'T WAIT FOR MY BORLA EXHAUST LIKE DELIVERED TO WHERE I BUY C8 AND PUT ON RIGHTS AWAY LOL

When they do the comparisons and they say stock, do they mean stock NPP in Track mode? There is a big difference. I have listened to my car in track mode and guys with AWE and Corsa systems, and was not impressed for all the added costs. It seems Borla has the best engineering and heat shielding, but their prices plus installation costs are around 5K.

Hey David, thank you for putting so much effort and time into the small details making sure that this Borla exhaust will be perfect! I had Borla exhaust on my C6 and have now purchased a C8 Corvette but I didn’t get the Z 51 package or sport exhaust on my car knowing that I’m going to buy the Borla exhaust I have one question for you. Will my car still change the exhaust sounds when going from weather mode , my mode, tour, sport and track not to mention Zora mode. Can the valves be set up to my Modeselektor in the car? Hi! Unfortunately, these systems will only work with C8s with the NPP performance exhaust from factory. It reuses the factory valve actuators or motors in order to move the NPP valves. C8s without the NPP performance exhaust will not have the NPP valve actuators to close and open the NPP valves in our system.

@@borla The 2023 C8 Z06 has a stock system with a fake exhaust tip in the rear fascia. Engineered to funnel noise into the cabin. Personally, I don't care if they add 200 hp, I despise floating/fake tips. Deal breaker. Will Borla possibly offer an aftermarket system that is fully connected from cat to Tips?? Thank you!

Our exhaust systems were developed on a stock C8 Corvette. We would not be able to guarantee fitment with other aftermarket parts. Sorry about that!

I'm afraid not. These systems will only work on C8s with the NPP Performance Exhaust option from factory.

I felt let down that they did not mention performance at all.

As bad ass as those pipes sound all I could ask myself is why does he have the left turn blinker on???

If you are considering these pass on them. I ordered the Borla ATAK in September of 2021 from my Corvette dealer. They did not arrive until a/4/22. It was so long I decided not install these and had found another product available. Borla with not having even made them yet refused to cancel the order. Grudgingly, I had them installed and low and behold it has an issue that generates a sound like you have a fan belt that is loose. So now I have to order a replacement for 3 to 5 months from now while driving what sounds like a souped up '72 Vega. The candle on top of the icing is that Borla will not pay for the require labor to remove their faulty product and install the new set. They do not have good customer service and will not support you their customer.

I never post comments, never. In this case, I honestly have to say, Borla did a fantastic Job. I had my exhaust installed this week by my GM dealer, they followed the very detailed and complete install instructions and reprogrammed the NPP per GM guidance. The Master Mechanic said the Borla was the best system he has installed and he thought it sounded the best as well. I have have no comparison on that (he did because he has installed many other manufactures products). What I can say is, I have no issues at all, zero. NPP functions 100%, the sound is amazing in all modes and zero drone. You do hear the burbles and pops more than stock during shifts, that's a good thing. If you have ever owned a BMW M series you would understand what that sounds like during shifting. I'm a regular customer like you with a 180 Degree view on the same product, it sucks when things don't go well; however, sometimes things fail or the install is not done correctly and so on. That's what a warranty is for. My point of all of this is, to recommend to the would online to pass on this product is in poor form. If you had a larger sample size of failure rates and poor manufacturing, we would have facts that could be evaluated. One case doesn't constitute a bad product. I'm glad to see below, Borla willing to work with you on this. I hope you post an update on the outcome. I also want to be clear, this in no way is an attack. My points are no more important than yours, they are just that, our points/opinions based on our results of the same product. I'm just adding additional data points for the rest of the internet to use when considering this product. Good luck

Hello! Your best bet will be ordering online from one of our dealers once the systems are available. They will have the better price at about 10% off of MSRP.

Daved My shop, which is a Borla dealer, is recommending I purchase an AFM module in order to be compatible with the C8 NPP. I have explained Borla has worked out this issue. They claim that the AFM will make certain I do not throw a code & have check engine light appear. Will the AFM cause any issues with the Borla S Type exhaust. The shop claims the AFM would be a not cause any issues and not affect the need for further turning. Thanks for your response.

After installation of the Borla system, the controllers for the AFM and NPP valves in the exhaust system should be re-calibrated according to GM Document ID 5406413. We highly recommend taking your car to the nearest Chevrolet dealer for exhaust valve recalibration services.

I'm disappointed called a few times and couldn't give me a date. Very soon was all I got, this was September- November Put a different cat back on 6 weeks ago. It took 19 months to get to market? Anybody want to buy a slity used exhaust?

Our C8 systems will not remove catalytic converters or defeat any emissions devices. You will pass emissions testing!

Hello! You can expect 10-12 horsepower and 8-10 lb-ft of torque. The weight reduction from the stock exhaust is 15 pounds.

You could see the revs in part of the video. Looks stock, I would just guess because of the design it is much more efficient at pushing out exhaust. Don't take my word for it, just a guess
