I have one that has 30,000 miles on it and it has ran great until I went out to drive it today and the check engine light came on and it was doing the exact same thing as yours. I checked the codes and mine is showing solenoid H. I reset the code and it pops right back on and still won't shift. I'm going to take it to the dealer next week and see what they say.

John is it about a 10HP gain? Do you think the K&N is better than other expensive and cheap versions? How often do you clean and oil it, twice a year? Have you ever used a coolant additive that cools your engine temp like watter wetter?, do they work?

If you want to "increase" power and mpg get rid of the wheel spacers, lift, bigger tires and go back to dead stock. Mods are expensive and rarely improve anything. But they will increase one thing -- unreliability. A lot of these popular mods are driven by the aftermarket hustling their products.

They should be a recall in these Silverado transmissions. This is absolutely ridiculous for these transmissions to only last 120-160 miles

My Silverado(they all do)have a cold air intake from the factory. I replaced that square box in front of the throttle body with a round pipe from Air Aid. Might have made it a little quicker off the line, hard to tell. Does open up some space under there. Had an F150 that I put a K&N kit that drew from under the hood...super noisy, not good noise either.

Men I went with 50% on xpel xr2 plus and it’s good but it has a blueish tint I to it the rest of my truck is 15% with autobahn i3 and it has a better color imo it’s more charcoal neutral it doesn’t have any hue like the xpel so take that in consideration

i got the carli stage 2 with 5100s in the front on my 23 , rides nice gives it that nice stance. riding 35s with 17s , i was into the offset an wide tires which i may do down the road but gives it the rig style look

Ive also got a 94 s10. Mine started out as a 2.2 manual. I got it from my local salvage yard for scrap price. Never even tried to start it. Tore the whole drive train out and swapped in a 5.3 and 4l60e. Also rebuilt the whole front end. New brakes and brake lines the whole way around. New fuel tank and pump. Its my current daily. Still have some bugs to work out but it seems to be a pretty solid truck. Stock 5.3 makes it scoot pretty good. Interior was trashed when i got it. Went with some Cavalier buckets and a floor shift center console from a Jimmy.

I just put that exact kit as well the K&N cold air intake on along with the 93 octane tune from my diablo sport tuner and im fairly happy with the results, just wish it was a little louder kinda going back and forth right now on high flow cats to make it a little louder....

Nah man it’s your truck it’s what you like. I like the stock look with beefy tires. I did the 2.5 level and bags on the back for 35’s. The bags I did for towing. Highly recommend

Honestly never looked into it. At 42k miles now and it’s been in “auto” all those 42k miles except “full” for the 12k tow miles. Never drove it without.

I run stock wheels on my 1500 with 2" spacers. I've noticed that it looks way better in person than it ever looks in pix or vids. Looks great in the vid. I bet it looks awesome in person.
