My mother wanted this song for her memorial service. I can't believe the day has finally come. She went to be with the Lord this last Sunday and her service will be a week from tomorrow, Feb. 19. She has stepped on shore and found it heaven. I wish I were there, too.

One of my best friends died two days ago. I've been asked by her sister to sing this at her funeral. I pray that I'm able to get through it and bless someone.

Looked everywhere for this song in 2001 and finally found it for my father's funeral. He and Mom are already there. I can't wait to see Jesus.

2:32 When my Dad died a 6 years ago, the melody of this song kept running through my head even though I couldn’t remember the words (and therefore didn’t connect it to going “home” to heaven, AND I ALWAYS have some song in my head so I didn’t think much of it). Then days later at his funeral, a friend of my Dad’s said, “I always remember a song your Dad used to sing at church”, then he started singing THIS song! My heart was SO touched that God would give me this little gift. Now today, I am grieving the loss of a dear friend who passed away yesterday, and this song has blessed me once again. God used you to touch my heart.

I played this at my mom’s funeral and I want it sung at mine too.

They just played this at my 102 year old great grandmas funeral and it was just beautiful. She loved god, however it was still one of the saddest moments I’ve experienced. This song warmed my heart during the funeral because it reassured my that she’s in a better place

I had this sung as the main feature song at my mom's funeral just over a month ago. I come here to listen to it frequently. It brings me peace and calms the storm bellowing around me. Thank you for recording this beautiful song.

Beautifully done. So lovely! I sang this hymn at a funeral when a friend passed away years ago, was comforted by it throughout the years, and was reminded of it once again when a loved one passed away today. My father passed away a week ago and this song has brought our family much peace. Knowing he is safe in heaven with our good Lord.

Have requested this song for My funeral: if not "caught up" first. 💞

We lost our youngest son about 10 months ago. We played by Mr. Lining at both his funeral and memorial. That song got me through those first awful months. I still cry when I hear it, but I know our son is experiencing the words of this song.

Beautiful. My best friend died a month ago and my dear husband almost 2 years ago to the day. Both fought with breathing issues at the last. This song brings comfort and reminds me that after their last breath here their next breaths were celestial.

My mom wanted this song played at her funeral. I was there with her after the pastor came by my request, and I played this (your version). She woke momentarily and a tear ran down her face as she heard your lovely voice. I had never heard this song before, but it was close to her. And you do such an angelic rendition. Thank you so much for being their in spirit with me and my mom at that time. I've seen this video a dozen times or more. It takes me there, and while I die inside, my spirit is uplifted. You are amazing.

It was really from singing barbershop tenor and learning to use my headvoice effectively. I've never had private voice lessons, just did a lot of singing in college and kept at it.

Hi Ernie, I sang it out of Majesty Hymns. The soprano is dropped an octave. Everything else is sung in pitch.

I’m having a hard time finding a track for this departed into four parts. Any chance you would be willing to send me the four parts separately so we could practice for upcoming special music? Or where could I find this?
