Hey Joel. I was one of the first people, if not the first, to email you regarding this Cayenne when you said you were selling it. If you do consider parting ways with it in the future, I may still be interested. Cheers, Bren

Hey Joel! First a hole in the exhaust, now a hole in the pocket))) very simple))
He couldn't quite believe you didn't know what a pully was :) Good to see it in better health.

Really interesting and glad to see you got a qualified adult to do the work!
I'm sure Mat Watson would be humbled with a Porsche mechanic not knowing who he is

Amazing the difference when you fix things like the exhaust and service the gearbox. I’m looking forward to replacing the engine and transmission mounts on my old Mercedes e350 coupe as I think that’ll transform it. Am enjoying this series 😊
Location of belts can always be found on google diagrams
Great video Joel, good comparison between the Matt Watson dealer experience and your independent specialist.

All the UK KZreadr Cayennes are back on the road (yours, Mat’s & mine)! 🎉 Hopefully they stay on the road 😂
Put a Tentbox on it and do the NC500. Needs a set of Porsche Classic decals.
You could save a bit by using parts factors of the likes of Autodoc. The serpentine belt from OE manufacturers Febi or Bosch is £28. A belt tensioner by SKF £56 etc.
Fantastic blog and a big hand for the Porsche mechanic he was great .

Yes, Chris is fantastic, as are the rest of the team.
Thank you for the update. Been too long since your last video!
You surely are advancing in the mechanical stuff if you have started to take apart parts inside the engine bay. I'm not at that level yet 😅 But it's most important to always have an honest mechanic ready to do the serious work. It's the adventure that counts, you'll know what would be more fun content. There's no car channel stuck with 1 car, they change project cars like they change shoes. So enjoy what you do, we enjoy the ride along (and the lessons learned on your cost😅).
Love my 4.8 S
As with the previous video, fascinating watching and wonderful to watch Chris ( what a professional technician he is ! ) at work. He makes everything look so easy and explains everything so clearly. Worth his weight in gold I'd say. Thanks again Joel....now do I buy that Cayenne up in Bournemouth ?
Great video Joel 👏🏻

Did Gearbox oil on my TT S. Also had the cats bolts issue both sides, it made a noise like when you blow grass in your hands, to be honest that’s 1 reason why the gearbox oil got done, 2nd was visible fluid from the seal line downwards. I was very relieved to get that transmission sorted. Very grateful to find that a bit of heat and 6 bolts later my “transmission noise” was gone and you do feel the benefits for a few days. Could you tell the difference if your car was 99% or 100%? No, if you gradually loose 1% every now and again until your say 90% then you wouldn’t notice but you would notice the 10% gain coming in one lump.
You can’t beat a good independent specialist. Usually know their stuff inside and out.

Isn't that a bit obvious? I think the term 'specialist' suggests that should know their stuff
Great video and content. 👍👍👍👍
Lovely video! You know, when I was young I thought I'd be a F1 driver or a mechanic. What a shame life forces us to grow up.

Sad news that your going to sell the Cayenne. Really enjoyed the videos. Hopefully you’ll miss it that much your get the V8 in replacement 😊. Still the 955 though!
Another john o groats to lands end ❤
Although my Cayenne is only four yrs old and main dealer bought with two yrs Porsche certified, I take it to an independent here in Orlando , dealers are great at telephone number invoices 😂. They tried to charge me $2500 for a service, after I let rip with a few British swear words it came down to $1200. That was the end of our relationship and now use an independent, called Drivers choice . As mentioned Mark Watson Cayenne wasn’t cheap at Porsche Swindon , he came across that it was reasonable and they did him a favour , I didn’t think so at all .
We need to get you to a 100,000 subs!

Missed the Cayenne content. It's a shame you'll be selling it soon Joel, would be great to see some sort of road trip or challenge with the cayenne. I recon your missing a Range rover too much and your selling it to get another one haha 😂... Be cool to see some Jag content too 👌
So how much did it cost?
please take her on a road trip.😊
How much was the bill?
VR6 ftw :)
money pit, but worth it
Hey mate your problem with the gear selector is definitely in the micro switch it's tiny what I did was compressed air like you did and also some electrical contact cleaner in a can and just sprayed the hell out of it again and again and again and hey it works perfectly

I advise anyone to stay away from these cars unless you're happy with constant problems and constant expensive fixing. I've had 2 and a toureg coz theyre so tempting but its always ended in disaster and me losing so much money

@@itsjoel I have a cheap Boxster S. They changed the front springs and asked me if they should also do the geometry set up. In doing so, they had to bash out a rear seized bolt and that repair ended up costing £2000! Mostly because they used genuine parts, which is not necessary on such a cheap car. I was furious. (I’ve had Porsches before.)
