OTAs is the best thing second dinner could do for the game, is incredible how fast they change things. Marvel snap feel fresh and exciting in short periods of time.

I think it’s so important to acknowledge how openly SD actively listens and responds to creators and players. Feels super rare from game designers, gotta appreciate it. I’m glad you all mentioned that

MAILBAG: What are your thoughts if they reworked Kang to still manipulate time, but instead of rewinding the current turn make him a 4 cost with some power but with the ability to skip turn 5 and immediately go to turn 6 or something like that?

I adore the consistent OTAs, it keeps the meta fresh and the game dynamic sure it’s frustrating sometimes, but i don’t miss shuri-redskull dominance on the ladder

First read that and immediately thought “sounds fun but also sounds impossible and dumb”….. but the more I think about it, it’d be a little hard to code switching the decks and hands and board around, but all the base “effects” are pretty much already there…….. and it’d actually be pretty strategic: you’ve got these random cards and you’re trying to score the least amount of points possible…… now I’m sad bc this will never happen lol

I made a deck with H/E. Misty knight buffs Sebastian, cyclops takes power, sunspot soaks, and I have havoc in the deck. Definitely has been a fun deck all the cards are constantly buffing each other

Happy New Year, hope you and your family enjoyed the holidays. In regards to game modes, personally if they add a draft and, maybe, a pve mode then the game would feel complete imo. A draft mode could offer a few different options like one mode where each player can disqualify a few specific cards or various other ways to draft the deck like requiring an all 'Xmen' or 'Avengers' deck Pve mode may be more niche but i think if implemented correctly it coudd be a fun a lot if players. Maybe design it as an interactive comic where battles become card matches. Make a few modes like a story mode where you can use any cards/decks plus side modes where you need to bring specific cards or cards with related characters to clear the stages. Maybe even have weekly/monthly limited pve events that incorporate the seasons theme and the weekly cards. Idk, i just really enjoy the game and think the more options we have to play the better. Imo theres plenty of options to choose from for a digital CCG like 'speed SNAP' where each turns timer is super short so you need to play out your hand ridiculously fast. Or even reverse SNAP where you start at 6 energy and it goes down by 1 each turn (so turn 6 you onmy have 1 energy)

Mailbag: I've heard you guys talk about Morph a few times. While it's a cool "boom or bust" play, I tend to agree with Cozy on how you can't really change it. What if the dev team came to you guys and said "build us a Chameleon card"? I assume it would have similar effects as Morph, but I'm interested to see how it would differ to make it a more played "Morph type" card. Thanks and as always I love the content you both entertain us with!

It's a great year to be a Marvel Snap player!

Mailbag: I feel SD doesn't give enough attention to quality of life updates (for example needing to click the "favorites" button on mobile device EVERY time to filter your favorite variants) instead focusing on rolling out as many cards as possible. I would be in favor of 2 new cards a month with more focus on the small stuff that makes things feel less clunky. Curious on your thoughts.

I had a mill deck going before blob thanos came around and decks got big again. Cable, Mantis, Lad, Abs Man, Yondu, Mordo, Ham, ice, needed glad. Used magik for extra turn. Struggled getting power out still. Before Ronan change and i was missing gladiator. Think it's still a card or two away and not in blob meta

The card that Shaw needs is an iron heart style card that can repeat the same card For example: 3/2 On Reveal: Give a card here +1 power. Repeat 3 times

MAILBAG: Love the show guys and happy new year. One feature I would love to see added is a mode to practice decks against bots. I can't tell you how many times I have made a new deck only to realize that a certain combo doesn't work a way I thought it would and now I'm out 2 cubes. I think this would be a great addition and could help new players get the hang of the game. What are your thoughts and what do you think are the odds this will get added to the game? Thanks!

Just a idea, Would you like it if they added negative energy cards that have abilities with "downsides" so you could play lets say a -2 with a 5 on turn 3. Iv been thinking about it and haven't come to a conclusion if it would be good for the game or not. Would love to hear your thoughts.

I literally stopped opening caches as soon as I hit Iron Lad and Black Knight because she seemed so underwhelming after junk being touched up.

Mailbag; If you were to create Snap cards of each other what would they do?

December was a great month to save spotlights and not buy the pass. I only pulled for blob and im glad i made that choice.

Yeah shaw is fine as he is, he leaves room to create lifter cards that make him stronger in the future

The problem with havok is that most of the time ur dropping him as a 2 4. Why not play 25 lizard or even 2 6 maximus his value is leaving him untouched and for multiple rounds

Oof best card game 👀 Hot take lol. It is the best mobile one imo though. Great year dudes, keep it up.

Cozy is wrong, the best free card that got adjusted was Forge.

Mailbag: What you think about the idea of add .5 power to the game (as a buff not probably a solid starting number) . It seems the difference of +1 power can make or break some cards. So why not meet in the middle. Random example is Angela gaining 1.5 power instead of 1 power or 1.5 instead of 2 power. Or dark hawk/blob/knull gets .5 power per _______. Not saying all of these need that but it's an example of balancing some of these cards that literally 1 power means the difference between a underperformed card, and a broken card.

Guess dinner will have to wait 39 minutes and 17 seconds

Um so grandmaster the storm lane it hits middle and closes 2 lanes and fart last lane gg oh and fyi of course u need another 2 cost card and juggernaut in the middle lane but man that would make this deck sooooo toxic😅

I wanna see cards that combined into new cards. Like voltron or power rangers mechs combin into 1.

@@LordHazanko666 no that totally exists. The first time they printed something like that was way back in the 90s in a silver border set. I think it was called "the bfm", later they released cards like that in regular sets, there is one that is two separate Angels and they get corrupted in the lore and you flip them over when you get both in play and the combined into the horrible two headed angel monster. I think they were bruna and Griselda and they are called briselda or then you combine them. Google it.

I dont understand. Cozy did this video solo 2 days ago. Why's he here doing the same video again with Alex?

I want to see Trading in the game. What if you could trade splits? Or hell, a type of marketplace like the Pokémon global network where you put in your “Offer” for what you’re looking for. Could create a new economy.

Im pretty bummed/annoyed how Selene turned out. The nerfs before she came out really killed her potential. I feel like SD was way too overreactive with the nerfs of the cards around her, and I don't appreciated it too much. They were scared junk would overtake the meta for their vacation, but it wouldnt have even been for that long (what like 3 weeks, big deal if it did). Now we have to wait for them to reevaluate her and those nerfs and that will take even longer. Makes me a bit frustrated. Im very easily just dooming and glooming right now, and Selene could work her way into a good spot sooner than later, but idk.

Selene was by far the most overhyped card y’all have reviewed to this date since the launch of the game. The negative effect far hurts you more than it helped you. Unless you specifically 2 cards. Hood or goblin. It was so so bad. On paper I never understood what y’all saw in this card. Blob was clearly going to be the big bad of December and I am happy to see it.

Love social aspects of the game but nooooooo to guilds/ clubs. The most toxic aspect of a lot of games I have played. Making the game feel like a job sucks. Clubs always have minimum scores, minimum time, minimum power. I can see it now: X team requires collection level 10,000+, with x snap points per season, required dailies completion blah blah. Eff. That. Don’t ruin the game 😭😭

Love you two but I wish creators would start voicing concerns for F2P or limited capital players more. For whales and people with excess income, snap is awesome, but for those who have to skip 3-4 weeks of spotlights at a time just to make sure they get a new card, it’s never been worse. Reserves need to give more capital but what wouldn’t make them as much money, which is disappointing.

Hope they don't lean to far into the socials thing... its kinda cringe to me to have to do clubs or clans for a game like this. (good pod! but wanted to go on record about that haha)

Havok is stupid. Close to useless. There are better 2 costs.
