Finally a method some folks are saying works on Switch but so far no luck even getting the chest to spawn. Closing the application after every six tries and been at it for a few hours. Gettin delirious already! 😵‍💫

Phantastic - perfect advise. It worked perfectly. But first I didn't understand what you meant with "closing the entirely application". Now I know that you meant to close the game completely and go back in the PS main menu. And for you all: Don't expect that it works in little minutes. I needed to run out the system and open the game again twenty times before the chest spawned in the twenties try - then there it was in the third of the six tries you get each time. Sorry for my bad english, it is not my native language. 😉

@@MariaRNG Of course! I originally wanted 2 because I have 2 with Archer job. However, after 538 tries, I have gotten chest to “appear” 7x. It yielded 10 Gil (x5), 1 knot of rust and, 1 Seitengrat. After getting 10 Gil just now, that’s good enough. May go back later but, I have other things I want to do before I finish game. I unequipped weapon beforehand and, don’t know if that mattered. I got a Seitengrat though so, thank you so much!

@@jasonfuller332 I see, it's great that you at least got one, though I feel bad that it took you so long! When I tried to get them on my regular adventure, I got six for all of the party members in less than an hour ... 🤭 Then to get two on my new game minus adventure it took maybe half an hour or so ... I think I have been very lucky. 🤩 This type of things really requires a lot of time, so it's more than fair to take a break from it, when needed!

@@MariaRNG well, I did get it early. Basically, on like 26th try. Would close app after every 6 tries so, the wait for kid 4 times worked. I would wait 4x no matter which try it. Should have watched ENTIRE video first time.

Yes, you should really try again! You have to pay extra attention to how many times you try to make the chest spawn (by going inside the Skyferry then outside on the Air Deck) and then how many times the child NPC goes back and forth; after that you're set! 🤩

Unfortunately I don't think it's going to work well on the Switch, but if you're still going to try this method, you don't have to just count 4, you have to count how many times you go back and forth from the inside of the Skyferry to the outside to make the chest spawn, that way you know how many times the child NPC has to run back and forth before opening the chest and find the Seitengrat instead of something else. 😊

Im playing on Xbox and so far the chest does spawn, to my amazement. But im only getting 10 gil from it. Alas, i wont quit.

@@Omnicharlizard yup. Update lol, i ended up getting every achievment but the 100 stages and Yiazmat boss fight and ended up uninstalling after multiple attempts at the seitengrat. The chest does pop up but i didnt have the patience to continue 😥. All achievments but 2!

@@user-uy4on1jr6z You have to go outside, where the chest should spawn, then close the application. After that you load the auto-save in which you are outside and look for the chest. If it's not there you go inside and then back outside. You do that until the chest spawns. If it hasn't spawned after a few times you close the application once again while you're outside and do again the whole process. I hope this helps! 😊

I got one question. No timer required? Others say I need it to wait exactly 20 sec.

With this method you do not need to wait, you only have to be quick enough to be able to count correctly how many times the child NPC goes back and forth, once the chest has spawned. ☺

Do you still have to wait 20 seconds or so after loading the auto save? I've tried multiple methods, several times each, and I'm not getting the chest in general😥

You don't have to wait 20 seconds or so, because in the meantime the RNG still moves. You only have to go from the inside of the Skyferry to the Air Deck a few times until you find the chest. If it doesn't spawn you have to close the application (the game) entirely then restart the game and try again. I hope you can find one soon. 😊

If using ps5, TURN OFF INTERNET, use the reks rng but completely close out of the application once you get the auto save on vaan, load your Reks file, get the numbers you want, close in game, load the auto save and boom. Confirmed 1/22

I'm sorry to hear that! 😥Do you close the application/game after a few attempts at spawning the chest? You need to do that to reset the RNG. As for the Gil, you need to pay attention to how many times you've gone back and forth between the Skyferry and the Air Deck, that way you know how many times the NPC child has to run from one side to the other before opening the chest. In any case, I hope you find it soon! ☺

You're probably not on the right Skyferry! You need to take the one that goes from Rababastre to Nalbina. ☺️

Aw, I'm sorry, that's unfortunate! 😥 After you first arrive on the Air Deck, do you close the application/game entirely? You need to do that to reset the RNG. And you should keep doing it after a few attempts of not finding the chest as well, because if you don't find the chest it means that you are not on the right RNG position. I hope you can find it soon! ☺️

One way to get it would be to steal it from Zeromus during Stage 81 of Trial Mode, another would be to find it in a treasure chest in the Crossfield area of the Cerobi Steppe. It's hard to get, so you'd need to manipulate the RNG to get it quickly; in this case, if you use a PC software called "RNG Helper", it gets very easy, unlike the Reks method. ☺️ If you only need one, and if you haven't got it already, you can find one in the Phase 2 Dig area of the Henne Mines!

I spent 30 minutes try this method. 6 times got in and out airdeck still dont bump the treasure chest. Close the app and try again. Still didn't work on my ps4 pro 2023 😭😭😭

I see, that's unfortunate. 😕 As for the Diamond Armlet, only Vaan needs it, so you can skip the other characters. And as for finding the Seitengrat and not Gil, you need to open the chest at the right time, when the child NPC is at the right spot. @@MariaRNG it was, but I did it over a week 😂 the plus side of powering down and pausing games on the switch is what I love 🧐 from what I tried and looked up, it seems like Nintendo may have pushed the developer to patch out glitches and rng manipulation tricks, I tried the rng manipulation to get the gendarm shield but it didn’t work so I have to zone in and out again 🙃

How long did it take? 😱😱

I’ll start playing it and turn off my switch and pick it up hours later xD Yes, I hunted down All the powerful weapons xD the seitengrat bow, great trango, gendarm, zodiac spear, and the 12 strongest weapons for each of the class types, as well as the wrymhero blade (which I actually got from trail mode way before it was possible before) The only things I’m missing are multiples of the best heavy armour

@@MariaRNG the gendarme took a few hours once ultima was defeated of zoning in and out with the diamond armlet , I’m not sure if it’s one per safe file 🤷‍♂️ HA! I love this die hard community xD 15 years after it’s release ff12 still has a dedicated fan base

I cant even spawn the chest. I tried other methods its time to giveup Edit: i already have 2 bow rn. Once u get the bow it become somehow easier to get. The second try take me 3 times without reset!

I wonder if you need to be up to a certain point in the story to unlock the Seitengrat because I got 10 gil 3 times in a row now. I have the Diamond Armlet equipped (on all part members just incase) and did the correct count. Currently, I'm just passed the Lhusu Mines.

I don't think that the story matters ... 🤔 To find the Seitengrat and not Gil you need to open the chest at the right time, when the child NPC is at the right spot. Did you count how many times the child ran back and forth as well as how many times Vaan went from the inside of the Skyferry to the Air Deck? @@MariaRNG Yeah, timing was the same. Opened it before he lifted his arm like in video.I got the chest to appear 5 times in total so far and all still 10 gil. 2 of those times were this: Start up game and load save file. Spawn on deck, check for chest (1st time), nothing. Go back inside, go back outside. Check for chest (2nd time) and it is there. Waited for the child to stand in front of adult for the 4th time and open the chest. 10 gil.

I try on switch, 5 try reset the game and i don't know it count 3 or 4 try in out i got the chest, i try open chest at moment the kid back to father 3 times and i got 10 gil.. sad.. You then load the auto-save file and run back and forth from the inside of the Skyferry to the Air Deck until you find the chest, but if you have already tried that six times you should start over again by closing the application. If you find the chest, you need to know exactly how many times you have run back and forth from the inside of the Skyferry to the Air Deck, otherwise you won't know when to open the chest. In any case, this method is based on the PS4 version of the game, so maybe it doesn't work as well on the Switch, since the RNG is different on the two consoles, I'm sorry. 😕

I think this doesnt work on PC :(

Unfortunately I do not know, as I have never tried it. You could try it, since it doesn't require any RNG manipulation, but I am not sure that it would work. 😕

Aw, I'm sorry you got that! To find the Seitengrat you need to open the chest at the right time, when the child NPC stands on his toes. Did you count correctly how many times the child ran back and forth as well as how many times Vaan went from the inside of the Skyferry to the Air Deck? ☺️

@@MariaRNG yes i look that kid like a stalker but always 10 guil or item. I found bow 1 time in 10/11 chests. Maybe I'm unlucky 😢

@@andreanieddu158 I see, it really seems like bad luck! 😕 If you're still trying to find more Seitengrat with this method, you should try to find the chest on your first or fourth try with Vaan (the amount of times you go back and forth from the inside of the Skyferry to the Air Deck), that should make it easier to get the Seitengrat. I hope it helps!

Yeah, that method is good but takes too long in my opinion, since it only makes the chest appear and not the bow. But I understand why you feel that way! 😊

@@MariaRNG sorry😅 i think seitengrad...i have saved the position with reks...he hits self for 10times i think? or 9times?..then restart game and load game from the ship and then you have 100%chance for obtain seitengrad

@@MariaRNG tbh i doubt the resetting part works on pc since the game resets on console tend to reset rng itself making the attempts more doable. iirc pc games read rng from a point where its way harder to reset. tho im unsure about that one myself might try again later when im back in raba (im in the jungle rn) or when i can buy teleport stones, whenever that is. the few tries i did do didnt work.
