I have to say, the design of this particular boss is amazing. The very embodiment pain and torturous suffering. And damn Scary to look at. What's with the chains, the straitjacket, the Venus fly trap as a casket, the skeletal mummified body? The plaque that resembles some (Catholic?) saint is also disturbing. I am going to assume that is a portrait of Seymour's mother. For her to turn into something like that... She and her son's affectations must be really something.

2:15 is the best attack of any FF game

actually dark anima is immune to any magic damage,including ultima,flare and your own anima's pain.

Think about it this way. Final Fantasy VII: International. It was created for the sole purpose of giving the Japanese a chance to fight Emerald and Ruby Weapon, because the orignal Japanese game didn't have them. Kingdom Hearts Final Mix was created as a director's cut to give the Japanese a few bosses they didn't get in their original release. They didn't get to fight Sephiroth or the Ice Titan.

It's seeing me paying a strange samurai aeon in my case.

Nope, every Dark Aeon drops either Break Damage Weapons or Armors or the Spheres, but the Spheres are Rare drops. Dark Yojimbo is the best method to farm the Break Hp Limit+Ribbon Armors. =) Just save and reset. He doesn't drop Wings of Discovery, just the armors that include HP+Ribbon.

we didnt have any of these fights in the NA version :c what was that at the end of the video?

Is the only way to have a chance against the dark aeons is to totally complete the sphere grid?

this is why anima is my favorite summon

what was up with the random swaps for 1 turn and then swapping them back out like with yuna and wakka near the begining of the fight?

Disappointing that no one has answered you in 2 years. If you still wanna know the answer, i believe it is so they can take an action in battle in order to recieve experience points too.

child hood memories. but i actually just use yojimbo to kill that thing before. it did not work on dark yojimbo though cause u need to face it a couple of times and zanmato is pretty random. you really did well on maximizing those attacks breaking the 9999 damge limit

All regions got the original release and then an international version was released. Then a few months later, a director's cut was released for PAL/NTSC-J was released. It wasn't released in the US because the company had said not enough Americans are prone to buy the same game twice via an interview with Tetsuya Nomura and Hironobu Sakaguchi at the TokyoGameShow several years ago.

No, squall hits the damage cap twice as many times so if it was the same for both, then squall would do twice as much damage.

obtain and max out the ultimate weapons they come with break damage limit, break hp limit is harder to obtain but isn't necesarry for a while, you need wings of descovery droppable from shinryu and i think you can bribe it from something too.

Cheapest way to obtain Break Hp Limit+Ribbon armors is from Dark Yojimbo; Just Save every battle you fight him and reset the game. That way, you don't have to go through the Shinryu way of farming Wings of Discovery. =)

Was it just me thinking this or were u going easy on dark anima? I can think of a way to kill her twice as fast as you did I'm sure you could have done this (I haven't seen the black magi skills all your characters know but their mp/hp suggests u can do this) take every round and double cast any spell and it would kill her that much faster bec instead of the single quick hit, your characters are so fast anyway it won't matter

you gotta take in account the damage cap, squall hit for max damage almost 20 times.

i love the boss music when fighting seymour for the first time..in that lake place..i forget the name :P

Might I remind you that to obtain all Ultimate Weapons you need to gather a crapload of items, and they are extremely hard to get. this is something you usualy do AFTER you get to the end of the game and are able to roam freely with the Airship. It took me 2 months of playing everyday to get everyone up to their max hp/mp/atk.

Wow I can't even beat Valefor yet.... I was just able to beat one eye Petryx... Still can beat juggernaut and earth eater.... Using the Don tonberry triple a method so hopefully I'll get there soon

I always thought the dark aeons always looked cooler. I wish you could've chosen your aeon skin between the two after you beat them

There's no reason to use magic unless the boss is immune to/resists physical attacks. With the turn you use for double ultima you can get in several quick hits. High level fights in FFX work like this: 1. Use quick hit until boss is about to get a turn. 2. Tag in Yuna 3. Summon fodder 4. Watch fodder die 5. Sub out Yuna 6. Goto step 1

I don't think you get what I'm saying. The US isn't the reason for the international versions not coming out. Square-Enix~Japan is.

You know you broken the game, when the best strategy is to spam one entire attack with every character and it does maximum damage.

Dark Anima has balls to punch that hard. If you know what I'm talking about.

squall's maximun damage incl. reznokuken + lionheart is 25x9.999 wakka's maximum damage (attack reels 2+2+2) is 12x99.999 best limit in FF story based on amount of damage is wakka's attack reels

this is so like final fantasy to have sidequests in which the bosses are much stronger than the final boss XD

Ah, my bad. I don't read other comments in these videos anymore. XD..well you don't have to beat the Aeons with BHPLimit. They do less damage if you have 9999 HP. Well, the person can train at Calm Lands Arena and farm for Agility/Accuracy/Evasion Spheres to beat Yojimbo and later farm for Luck Spheres to replace Acc/Eva for HP. =)

Well..do you really have to use Magic for these Aeons? They can die without it. Not really a Magic user and I rarely use Lulu or any other characters for Magic. And you deal 99,999 only with their Original Ultimate Weapons, any other weapon made custom with Break Damage won't deal the max.

How do you get 99999 exp?

WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT THING IN THE END? i could never hit that stupid thing with wakas ball, but i never imagined to end up battling a dark anima.... also is your party so strong because you have everyones ultimate weapon? and what is quick hit? whats the difference between that and just normal attacks?

Quick hit has less recovery time than a normal attack. Basically, it lets you get your next turn quicker than if you used the normal attack command.

Many people grinding Luck stat until 255. If you score critical hit it will be never miss. For that reason many player grinding their luck instead accuary.

I guess with his stats maxed out, he's pretty much unbeatable. He's a “tank” for a reason. High hp, strength and defence

I can't believe AURON SURVIVE from OBLIVION ? Is that even possible to survive Dark Aeons overdrive ???

I max out some stats on this game and took well about 200 hours and it was on the ps2 version. tried doing this again on ps3 and gave up literally

i find it easier to get auto phoenix armor, bribe mega phoenix's from ghosts then make auto phoenix armor and use auto life as a back up

So did you go through all spheres and reset them with blanks and use all +4 spheres on your grid? I filled all blanks with no resets. Got 23k hp and about 120 luck and the rest maxed. Do i need to do this for 99k hp?

Noctis Lucis Caelum Nope. You need to redo the whole board and put down sphere stat nodes. Not to mention the amount of time it takes to get all the items needed for this. It takes an insanely long time to do this.

I am very well aware of the process. Clear spheres are not hard to get. Money is not really an issue in this game. Its easy to come by.

This isn't the international Version. The HUD looks different plus the quick hit strategy was patched in the international Version. He might be playing the Japanese version with English transfer.

No, this is the International version....PS2, Japanese version did not have the Dark Aeons. There were never any patches to this game.

He probably means the first Anima in teh game, seymour's one, in the temple, 18 000 hp only so 2 x 9999 enough :P

If he wasn't limited to 9,999 then he would do a lot more damage, or if wakka was capped at 9,999 he would do half as much damage.

The US doesn't do anything -_-. The international version is a director's cut. And the only reason they don't sell it in the US, is because not many americans are willing to buy the same game twice. You can say that you would, but that doesn't mean the rest of the world will.

best attack of any FF game is Wakka's attack reels 99.999 x 12 Hits. biggest amount of damage of any FF game. end of story :D

I would say my characters are strong enough to beat Sin in 2 minutes, but I don't think they would've lasted against Dark Anima without Yojimbo, dude you have a lot of items and equipment probably would take ages to obtain, I got two celestial weapons fully powered up and still barely lasting against a dark aeon.

yojimbo drops wings of discovery? don't all dark aeons drop dark matter/spheres? anyways the best way to get them from what i've seen is by bribing marlboro's
