I think they tried to rectify a mistake from the original. It did come out in 1998ish or whatever but "cloud possibly getting raped" and they way they did this part in the original may not be accepted the same way it was back then. It's a fun part even though the original never bothered me (but hey, I'm a straight, white male lmao). That part may be the only fumble from the original IMO in terms of what it's saying and idk if I'm making any sense.

As silly and ridiculous as this is, I love the effort the devs put into this. They could've easily botched it up, and confirmed people's worries that it was excluded, but the team really went all in, and made a very fun rhythm game, and the music itself is pretty catchy to tap your feet to and get in the groove.

I'm replaying Crisis Core right now and this truly sounds like a conversation that could be had between Angeal and Zack, XD! Also, I don't think Cloud is being careful to not use the sharp end of the sword. Zack says he usually knocks people out with the blunt end. I always get teary-eyed when Andrea finishes his speech with that "Don't ever be afraid, Cloud." I was a sobbing mess right along with Aerith'a voice actress when she played this and also spoke on the subject as well, lol.

I was simply unable to do this damn sequence right bc the entire time I was just trying to comprehend what was going on.

This part was so much fun. I just love how absurd wall market is. And I love Cloud and the way he handles the side quests and things he has to do that are against his character or that he feels reluctant to do. Like cloud with the kids in Sector 5 suddenly being like "i'm having a special discount. it will only be 3 gil." I loved that. The sense of humour is so so good in this game.

That's why I think yhe side quests aren't that bad. A lot of them add to his character like the one you mentioned or have silly stuff or new fights.

It’s kinda cool if you watch how cloud kinda evolves throughout the dance. The first song he is very combative in nature. Trying to intimidate and fight but he is just brushed off. The second song he still has fight but starts using it in his dancing skills. Having moments he matches. Then the final song he’s just all out dancing with the good ole commander Shepard (don’t remember his real name) and that’s just kinda cool but I dunno

OG FF7 So you know how Don Corneo takes pictures of his "lucky lady" in the Remake? In the original game, he did that, too, and there was a side quest later in the game to retrieve the photo because it was so embarrassing. I now have hopes that this dance will be in a video that goes viral across Gaia along with Don Corneo's picture, and that Sephiroth helps circulate them both just to tease Cloud in a cute (but also stalkery and damaging) way.

Crazy how something like this can coexist with the last part of the game when shit gets for real. That's what I just always loved about FF. It doesn't always take itself too seriously, either.

I dunno...my wife was losing her MIND laughing at me going through this.

This game brought us one of our childhood dreams,but this scene elavated it and more. My friend went on full Aerith screaming praises to the animators. And seeing it without having to mash buttons she had a goddamn point. Also,this song is so damn dope. You can literally dance to it and never,ever get bored.

I don’t know why but I just love the move Cloud does at 1:27 . It’s just really smooth damn

Actually, there is a youtuber called Cdawgva that gets to interview the man behind the dance choreography. The man owns a gay bar in Japan. The video I believe is called "Igo to a gay bar in Japan" or something along the lines for if anyone is interested in giving it a watch.
