Sled Fang doesn't show up in this movie. If you look closely, when Red XIII jumps at Bahamut, the green energy that knocks him away comes from the right, which is Barret using Big Shot or Mind Blow, and that's why his gun jams immediately afterwards.

Omnislash Version 6 is probably the most badass thing in FF7 lore. I'm so glad they went and fixed the final fight in Complete because Omnislash Ver. 5 is rather lackluster, and I greatly prefer Cloud nearly losing before overcoming Sephiroth once more

Very late on this, but an interesting thing about that second blade beam - in the original game, the projectile strikes the target, then splits into smaller projectiles to hit other targets for less damage. That second Blade Beam immediately visibly splits off into those three blades mentioned. Implies Cloud actually scored at least a glancing blow with it at point-blank range. Kadaj might have blocked and gotten out of there, though. Or it could be just an instance of Rule of Cool.

One of the most badass movies of all time Cloud's Omni-Slash Version 5 and 6 are arguably the coolest shit I've ever seen and I've seen 1000 plus movies, countless TV shows and played hundreds of video games

After playing FF7r, theres even more attacks that are in Advent children!, during the shinra building falling sequence theres an instance where blade burst is used.

@@freynime6453 Actually I don't think it's ever given an official name but it is just called Omnislash Version 6 as the Omnislash Version 5 was their 5th version of making Omnislash before one stuck. I'm not sure if that's just for the movie specifically or if the original Omnislash is "Version 1" but because this is a new version of Omnislash it is called Omnislash Version 6

Finishing touch was pure dissappointment in this movie but the omnislash version was the best in the series

Dissidias version looked cool but had nothing to do with the actual attack but I'll chalk that up to it being another version of it, the smash bros version is utter crap imo, the movie version is somehow just as bad, I guess the original finishing touch is too much AOE for games to adapt it.

I get that some people don’t like the movie but I for one loved it, the remixed music and the fight scenes were just to good to hate, This movie made me tear up lol.

Really wish we got to see one of Vincent’s limit break forms in this movie

Man, I didn't realize how many limit breaks there were in here. I didn't recognize Finishing Touch, Braver (pretty weak Braver, though), and all of Tifa's.

Forgot the cross slash during the building scene when Sephiroth is dropping parts of the building down on Cloud. It's subtle but you see a slash in the shape of a cross and the screen spins slowly as Cloud comes up from the broken parts.

Still wondering what omnislash ver 2,3 and4 are

They were made on designing stage. The Ver 5 & 6 were the only ones released.

Also in pretty sure yuffie does greased lightning in the fight with bahamut. You see her star glowing when it returns to her at one point in the fight

I haven't read the novels, so I can see how someone who's delved that far into the universe would appreciate the Cloud focus in AC. I think my opinion is the way that it is because most of the FF7 media I've consumed has centered Cloud. But I also tend to be a fan of huge ensemble cast novels/shows/films like GoT, too, just because I'm more fascinated by the characters' relationships with one another and the politics of those relationships than a single character's development. And also, just practically speaking, if I'm not deep into one character I have plenty of others to share the weight. But I know everyone's not the same and that's what makes life great. :)

I didn't really begin to grasp half of the game's story until I saw the movie. For instance, the way falling into the lifestream affects people.

Nobody gonna mention that Braver smashed off a chunk of Bahamut Sin's face in the Complete version? You can literally see it raining face.

Loz was holding back severely. He represents Sephirtoh's strength. Also, Tifa talks about how they (the party) aren't as strong as they were in the last battle against Sephiroth, but Cloud found that drive again.

Fun to revisit but you were definitely grasping at straws in a few of these

It's so fucking sick that they managed to seamlessly implement the character's in-game movesets into the fight acenes, and so seamlessly too. This movie has proboems for sure, but the fight coreography is DEFINITELY not one of them.

I don't think Red XIII used a limit on Bahamut. As for Cid, all of his attacks were jump attacks, hard to call them Limit breaks.
