FF7 Advent children Complete Omni slash V5 is incredible and the quality still holds nearly 20 years later

This is the first time I realized cloud did the Original Omnislash on Sephiroth in Advent Children complete, except it failed cause Sephiroth saw it already and probably learned to counter it. Which is why cloud invents version 5 on the spot.

I remember when I got to this part I took off all of Cloud materia and I even let Sephiroth try to kill me and Cloud just ended up countering with on hit and he died.

Crazy how 2005 movie animation was still on par to these days' quality. TY JAPAN!

I believe one day we'll have a game featuring Cloud AC version... Maybe a sequel after FF7R part 2 and also how he got his Fusion sword. Omnislash version 5 isn't just 1 button, you actually have to press certain buttons at certain timing to keep the slashes going or maybe something like how Squall renzo work in FF8.

Ah a trigger limit break as bad as FF7 is at that, any other final fantasy game limit break doesn’t want to copy ff8 too much in that regard but since Cloud doesn’t have something like a Gun-Blade Trigger maybe it’s not meant to be for now… Cloud limits breaks even in Dissidia has to like power up a lot to attack in the first place or a simple complete circle swing of his sword that is like half power at best it seems!! Though I’m reminded of how limit breaks work in Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep work , like if you keep attacking you do go up 3 different levels of limit breaks & the fourth one is just a final attack at best!!! So in a sense you can prolong a limit 3 if you don’t final attack everything right away,, meaning you stronger if you stay in limit 3 as long as possible it seems… to me I like this type of setup,,, next to trance in FF9!

Man, I remember farming power sources on the original ff7 to get Cloud to do 9999 with each attack on any enemy.

My #1 favorite male character of all time: Cloud exactly because of Omnislash and Omnislash Version 6 (which many dubbed for the Complete version) and the fact that I can relate to him in some ways.

OG omnislash hits different. The animation and sound effects can't be matched

As good as all the visuals are, the original is just so powerful. Especially considering everything you had been through to get to that point

Nothing beats the OG Omnislash.

Spoilers for those who haven't played the Remake; I believe Cloud did attempt the Omnislash in FF7R. After battling Sephiroth and watching the next cutscene, there was a total count of 15 slashes that Sephiroth had to bob, weave and parry before telling Cloud, "Not yet.".

I have seen quiet a few versions of the Omni slash. Some others were Fusion blade, Cross slash Death blossom and a quadruple slash?

Dota 2 also has Omnislash. Its the ultimate move of Juggernaut. Its clearly inspired from FF7 but its not so flashy, though its a pain in the ass everytime i get hit by it.

God I loved Mobius FF. Always annoyed me that he just pulled a 2nd buster sword out of no where thats like his omnislash ver 6.

Why does world of final fantasy have the strongest version of omnislash? like it's actually criminal that chibi cloud does the strongest version of it where the opponent gets pieced up and diced.

For the normal / Omnislash v1 (in smash ultimate) why did you put a clip in where the Advent Children costume performs it, instead of the default Final Fantasy VII costume?

No that story was about Zack and cloud was useless in that game. Sephiroth used what's called octaslash which was the original technique. Cloud does an upgraded version of sephiroth's original move.
