Was able to make my short film off of a random connection I met on the street. Led to meeting a whole team of people I would have never met without it. You are right. Connections and the ability to be skilled enough to showcase your talent for those peoples time matters a lot.

To commercial direct in the United States is it necessary to move to LA / NYC? And wondering if the place a director resides is all dependent on the location of the production company they get signed on to (do some director's work remote? If so, is it a good/bad move for director's starting out to work remote)?

Could you please make some video including your thoughts on how can more women filmmakers become commercial directors and make such career sustainable with family life? Seems like such stories are lacking in the industry. Perhaps you’ve got some colleagues? would highly appreciate that!
