Great advice! About the new mic, the sound is distorted for sounds that are louder. I've had that issue as well with even more expensive mics.

Thanks for your experience, Nur! Btw, where can I find good examples of spec commercials shoot in one location with no budget? Which already worked well for producers or clients. In my experience, budgets in advertising are always much higher than zero, so it seems problematic to make something with minimal resources. So far, I don't even have any ideas how it could look like. I may be wrong, of course.

Blaine Westropp recently made some high quality stuff with a sneaker shoe in his bathroom. Check out his YT channel. It’s the idea that matters, not the production value. Do your Vimeo research. Also check out stuff like this: vimeo.com/447850248 vimeo.com/132418627 vimeo.com/248319869 These are really easy and inexpensive to make. And It doesn’t have to be fashion. You can find countless examples from other genres. It’s just something I’m personally interested in.

Usually the sales metrics are dependant solely on how much the ad agency or the client's marketing is willing to push whatever marketing material they have. So it's impossible to quantify the correlation between the quality of the director's/production's work and the increase in sales. There are cases with genius ad ideas that the client doesn't have budget to place everywhere and make it ubiquitous. And vice versa there are too many cases where a very generic ad has so much media placement budget, that you see it everywhere, even if you don't want to. And that inevitably leads to increased sales. @@mustatia8917

как говорится это не "either/or", а "both/and".
