Exploring Elsa's magical origins proper by leading to her not being Anna's biological sister but Princess Rapunzel's twin would've been THE Frozen sequel I would've wanted...and it would have made more sense for Anna to be Arendelle's Queen since she's the King and Queen's only biological descendant.

@@brownwolf5766 not really...it actually confims it. The fifth element isn't real. All the other elements are obviously. The "spirt" is an actual spirt of her parents who died. They create this fake proficiency before her Elsa figures out that her "cousin" is actually her twin after they met at her coronation.

This theory would've explained why Elsa's parents were so focused hiding her powers instead of making any attempt whatsoever at helping her learn to control them. I always thought that was odd. You don't deal with magical powers by locking them up and hoping they just go away. Not to mention, Elsa seems to master her powers pretty quickly when she finally decides to "let it go."

Something else he forgot to mention was the color of their magic. Yes they are opposite, but when Elsa is alone in the castle the ice around her glows yellow when she is anxious, and Rapunzel's hair glows yellow... with bits of purple.😊😊🤔🤔🤔

Cool theory, but one thing is bugging me: When Anna was hit with Elsa's ice blast, a part of her hair turned the some color as Elsa's hair, meaning the hair color could be a side-effect of the ice powers and not genetics.

+Izzy A I was thinking along the same lines but not along the same lines. Elsa has white-ish hair, and when she blasts Anna in the head, Anna gets a white-use streak of hair. When Gothel cuts a strand of Rapunzel's hair off right in the beginning of the movie, it turns brown. So it might just be a side-affect of the powers of the flower or something?????

first ever patpat theory video ive watched, and i have not stopped watching ever since. Your videos have really helped me through a lot. And from the bottom of my heart, i will miss you. 😭😭

This was the first video I ever watched from Film Theory and from the Theorists at all. I thought it was incredible and I still do. I've been watching since beginning of middle school and will graduate high school next year. It's been a wild ride and I'm so thankful to have found this awesome channel when I did. I will miss MatPat and his crazy theories so much but Im equally glad that he's taking time off to spend more time with his family. 4:41 you’re wrong about that growing out hair tho. Once the magic hair is cut, it doesn’t grow back. That’s also why so many are mad at Eugene for cutting it SO short. That’s also why that one brown strand from the beginning never grows back. Rapunzel even states that in the movie.

The only problem with this, if that is Rapunzel and Eugene (or Flynn) at the end of the movie, they would definitely have a longer scene. If they were twins, then Rapunzel would remember her face from birth. Also frozen 2 fr came in like a wrecking ball on this theory

Even after watching frozen II this theory still works as Elsa gets her healing and life giving powers from repunzels mother and she gets the bonus ice powers for being one of the 5 elemental things in Frozen II

Actually, Frozen is based on the year 1843 while Tangled is based in the 1780's, so Elsa was born in 1822

Even after the sequel this is still one of my favorite game theories

hmm, So while watching this, I had a thought. Surprisingly simple, so much so that it can't possibly be right, but maybe? One baby took more to the flower itself, The other took more to the water that the flower enchanted. While they both have like powers, it's born from different sides of the same coin. Water is respected as a giver of life. snow and ice are formed from water. The earth is also considered a giver of life, plants grow from the soil, much like hair on the scalp. Maybe?

I like it! Also, Elsa and Rapunzel have connected powers, but they also complement each other. They're both good powers, not curses. They both create and give life. But Elsa's is obviously centered on cold, while Rapunzel's has a warmer feel. White hair, cool colors, mountains and ice, vs golden hair, warm colors, spring and flowers. Twins usually are foils to each other; like two sides of the same coin, right? Just my thoughts.
