FIDDLE: Moving the Bobby Hicks Double Stop - Jason Carter
Jason Carter demonstrates what he calls a "Bobby Hicks double stop." It's an advanced lick that's useful and can move around. He uses the tune "Blue Moon of Kentucky" to demonstrate.
PineCone fans will recognize Jason as a member of the Del McCoury Band and The Travelin’ McCourys. Both have played Raleigh in recent years. As a fiddler, Jason has also been featured on albums by Steve Earle, Ricky Skaggs, Dierks Bentley, Charlie Daniels, Vince Gill and Asleep at the Wheel.
Jason Carter’s debut solo album "Lowdown Hoedown" was released in 2022. There's more information at www.jasoncarterfiddle.com
