Great video, but the “an hour and a half to charge” is not accurate. You would never charge to 100% when on the road since the last 15-20% is really slow. The 500e can charge from 10% to 80% in about 35 min on a fast charger. Which is pretty on par for most EVs. Sure it will be nice once they all get better range, but for now the 500e’s range is top of the range for minicars. Get a BMW i4 and your range is much higher.

Thanks for your comment! That's a factor I didn't take into consideration to be fair, it was quicker to 80% - I think the trouble only occurs for long journeys 😊

Excellent review great little car but like all EVs best for urban use. When we get 400/500 mile ranges then they might catch on. The other thing is the price and £30,000 is a lot of money if you go on a pcp then it will still cost you around £18-20,000 when you factor in your deposit and monthly payments. Having said that the 500E is a lovely little car. Still Dacia will offer electric cars for half the price they are currently.

There is no car out there that you actually get the WLTP range. That's based on perfect test conditions, not real life.
