With Patch 6.4, White Mage got some AoE adjustments, and a damage buff: -> Both Dia's upfront damage, and its DoT's Potency was changed: 60 -> 65 Potency (+55 Potency total per cast). -> Asylum's area is now 15 Yalms. -> Temperance now grants its buffs in a 50(FIFTY) yalm radius while active.

I was a Ninja all the way through Shadowbringers before I even thought about delving into other classes. (Started playing like...a year and a half ago now.) When I did, your guides have been so amazing in helping me learn them. Now all my DoM and DoW classes are 90 and I can confidently say I "kinda" know what I'm doing with them lol Thank you for your guides! ❤

Ah yes, White Mage, my main healer in Shadowbringers. Time to drop some cursed information. Did you know, your most effective instant heal GCD can situationally be Cure 3? With Plenary Indulgence, it gives you that delicious 750 potency instead of Cure 2's 700! This stops being a thing once you get the buff to all your healing GCD's at level 84.

I’ve been trying to find gear that I can use universally across all 4 healers, with their weapons being what differentiates them if at all. Critical hit, Spell Speed, and Direct hit I’m thinking would be the best focuses. Though I’ve heard Sage does not enjoy Spell Speed, and I’m still confused as to why. Would that not lead to additional Dosis/Dyskrasia casts and therefore more damage in the long run?

Crit, Determination and Speed are the typical stats to watch for for healers. As Direct Hit can only be added with Materia, this is mainly something you add after Crit wherever possible. In regards to speed, all four healers benefit more from speed than most other jobs simply because such a massive percentage of their damage comes from their spammed attack (like Glare), and their DoT (like Dia), and DoTs gain a scaling damage bonus from Speed as well. As to what affects each healer's preference in speed, it boils down to mainly how MUCH of their damage originates from these attacks, as well as what other things benefit. Three of the four healers have either a timed raid buff, or a personal buff, that they can benefit from fitting more attacks into with more speed. This means Scholar's Chain Stratagem, White Mage's Presence of Mind, and Astrologian who has not only Divination, but also Astrodyne - partly the reason why Astrologians like Speed THAT much. Notably, attacks that don't scale with speed, naturally have the opposite effect: While White Mages like speed to fit more Glares into Presence of Mind and raid buffs, they still only get one Afflatus Misery per minute, so this attack prefers other stats over Speed specifically. Scholars like speed to fit more Broils into Chain Stratagem, but they still only get a set amount of Aetherflow to use Energy Drain. However on the other hand, sometimes all the Aetherflow goes to healing and not damage. And then, Sage only gets 3 Phlegmas per 2 minutes, and on top of that, does not have any timed personal buffs that would incentivize them to get more speed to increase the value of that action. This is the common reason why Sage doesn't care much for Speed. However, unless you are trying to get an incredible parse on FFLogs or something, then all four healers can work with the same gear for the most part, where you can then choose to prioritize the preferences of the healer you play the most! ^^
