They were lighting up the beers because the whole song is about a 'Metfest' which is a 'Honeymead-celebration', lyrics all about drinking yourself unconscious on it in good company :D Feuerschwanz have done a lot of awesome covers in English language too in addition to their own german-language music! Recent ones are 'Blinding Lights' or 'Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!', both have awesome videos too!

That´s the creative german rock and metal scene, bro... industrial metal by Rammstein, Party Core by Electric Callboy, Medivial Folk Rock by Feuerschwanz, Country Rock by The BossHoss, Symphonic Metal by Melissa Bonny and her Bands Ad Infinitum and Dark side of the moon (ok, she is from switzerland^^).

Hey man, welcome to the world of Feuerschwanz! They started as a party/comedy/folk band back in 2008 and many of their songs are atill about drinking and making fun about medieval topics, but they turned into a real folk-metal band over the last years. They play own songs like "Ultima Nocte", "Memento Mori", "Untot im Drachenboot" or their latest release "Bastard von Asgard" , but also covers like the phenomenal "Warriors of the world united" as a collab with great singers from other folk metal bands, which I highly recommend to you. Gonna see them live tomorrow 😜🤘

In Germany are many Bands like thies. Even Festivals in thies style. Another good Band are Saltatio Mortis with Songs like "My mother told me" or " Pray to the hunter"

It's just a cultural preference i think. We like our Vikings, Pirates and Knights in armour 😊. This band from Germany is a parody band with lots of humor all around in the style of Nanowar. Last sunday i was at a Visions of Atlantis concert and they too had a lot of humor in their storytelling. Awesome bands, all of them. Which reminds me that i very much miss Leaves Eyes. Do they still exist? 🤷

So many great songs by these guys. I recommend Schubsetanz (both the original and black metal versions), Warriors of the World United, or anything from the last 3 albums. Once you go down the European folk/medieval/pirate metal rabbit hole, there is so much to explore

0:11 no, you didn't. :) the "schwanz" part was good, but the "feuer" would be more like a "Foi-er" 8:20 highlighting their drink (might be mead, actually, which would make sense since the song's title translates to "mead celebration" (kind of)) back in the days people used lighters to create some atmosphere during slower songs/parts. maybe this is an innovative shot to adapt old traditions.... Love your reactions! You seem to be that kind of person i'd have a drink with.

German "eu" is pronounced like "oy" as in "boy", not like "ew" as in "fewer". So say "Foyerschwanz" instead of "Fewerschwanz". This is an older song by Feuerschwanz. A nice one. But you should check out their latest song "Bastard von Asgard". Simply a banger!
