Great video and it brought back many memories. I first went in 1970 and spend many weeks travelling around. Marrakech and over the Atlas to Zagora. Had a fabulous time. You look so relaxed when you are travelling. I am looking forward to your next videos. I think I will be spending time on your back catalogue!

I couldn't help but smile at the positive energy and cheerful appearance of these two people. It was really cool to see them traveling happily without losing hope despite difficulties. The courage and spirit of challenge shown by the two people in an unfamiliar place aroused admiration. I was able to feel both the excitement and fear of exploring a new place. Thank you for sharing your precious experiences and memories from your travels. Since I am also on a nationwide tour in a motorhome in Korea, I sympathize with both of their videos a lot, and seeing them both made me want to travel abroad too.

Andre & Lisa, what a fantastic & informative video, wish we could have seen this before we went last Friday. We paid for a guided tour and it was not the best experience 😔 we saw the tannery from a balcony, but your experience looks amazing. We are currently in the Sahara desert. Look forward to your next video.😀

Thanks for that! We almost skipped Fes as we were a bit tired of city experiences, but we're very happy we did go there. Especially as we're on our way south and it will be a while before we see a large city again. We're looking forward to getting to the desert as it's super cold in the mountains. ❄

As always a lovely interesting video. I just realised how much taller than Lisa, Andre is ! Fes looked amazing, its one of those places that both excites and scares me if that makes sense. I'm so glad that Lisa didn't fall into that blue pot, she would look awful in blue.....

Also what do you use for your graphics (like the moving taxi and I age of Millie on the map)? I like that you always show the route you have travelled/are travelling as it gives context.

Thanks for that 😎 Whenever we watch other travel vlogs, we always wish they show maps, so it's something we always try to add. As you say it adds a lot of context. As for editing, almost everything is done with Davinci Resolve (Studio edition). Although we're not really using it to its full potential it has a built in 'Fusion' tool which is a pretty advanced compositing software to create visual effects. You can pretty much do everything with Fusion that Adobe After Effects can do but some people say it's not as good for motion graphics. But it's a specialist topic and we're amateurs so it doesn't really matter. 😋

Hey guys … awesome as always! Love your tour of fes… and how great that you had lots of tips amd advice from a local… much more relaxed than a guide for sure. I think it’s great to mix it up, and as Lisa said there are some places you just have to visit! Also great to see so many artisans … gosh I would have to find restraint from within … such lovely things! The earrings being made would have been hard to resist!… sorry André … it’s definitely a ‘girlie’ thing 😂😵‍💫🤩 Thanks for sharing such a great and very interesting/ informative vlog 🙏👏🏼🩷 Loved the rugs/ carpets and how you ended up on the rooftop with all the rugs draped on the walls! My passion (well one of them) And lastly… that view .. just wow 🌞😎

Thanks Jo! We're very glad we did go to Fes! I (Lisa) couldn't say no to a pair of those earrings! Luckily earrings are small so I can fit loads of them even in the camper! 😜 It really is nice seeing artisans still amongst the mass production that we've become used to. Fez looks fabulous, and a great film. After our visits into Marrakech we are unsure whether we'll visit anymore crazy cities - so glad you made your own itinerary, we loved finding our own way around Marrakech. We also found everyone (well, almost everyone!) to be welcoming and friendly. Looking forward to your monkey adventures next!

Thank for the this good authentic Video, I just came back from Rabat in Morocco, 7 days ago was a nice experience, are there only police on every round about in Rabat and military with machine guns ? Or did you have seen it also other cities ? And yes medinas are a maze despite I have a good orientation I struggled inside the Media. Best regards Alex from the Arctic. Could get a good insight how Fez is

Thanks Alex! Yes, indeed there is police and military presence everywhere. Virtually every town will have checkpoints at all incoming roads. We've stopped counting by now 😋

We were walking around there, when a man approached us, telling his dad lived there somewhere. In the end he walked us around, including the tanneries. After an hour or so we still hadn't met his father. but he began demanding money. As he never told us he was a guide, we offered him 10 dirham, but he refused, called some sort of supervisor who became quite nasty. As it was quite crowded he didn't take any further action, and we got away unharmed. So, be prepared if someone approaches you, first talk money. It was our first time in Morocco. We tought is a filthy country, for some reason there are bottles with urine everywhere in the countryside. Also lots of feaces in corners, shrubbery and under bridges. But yes, we will go back, as wild camping in the desert is something very very special.

You're experience in Fes is something we often hear of. Like you say, agreeing to a price in advance is very important. It's a pity though. It makes one more cynical about random encounters which might have been something special.
