Yea a good solid drill in my opinion. It is a little heavy although it's quite powerful which makes up for the weight I think.

After one year, is it still good? Have you used it a lot?

13mm steel drill bit . Drill steel like 🧈 butter though angle iron

I haven't tried it on metal yet. I probably should have added that to the video actually.

I'm a DIY beginner. I need to put shelves up on a concrete wall and then general DIY. Would this be the drill for me? I have their trimmer so hsve the battery and charger already. Thanks!

In my opinion it would be good for this kind of work. I particularly like the 13mm all metal chuck. Clamps down nicely onto drill bits easily.

There's a part on the top that rotates over to the little hammer symbol.

Do the parkside 20v batteries work onthe ferrex?

Hi Phil, I thought it wasn't advisable to use a 40v battery in the 20v drill, as it would damage the motor ? That's what I read from Google search anyway 😀 Do you think it's worth the extra £20 for the brushless Aldi combo drill ? Thanks.

I have not had a problem with using either battery because the bigger battery is a 20/40v so it will work with 20v tools or the 40v tools. It's not like the drill is running on 40v if you use the bigger battery. It will run at 20v but the battery will last longer as the 20/40v battery has a higher capacity. I would say yes it's forth the extra £20 to get the brush less combi although bear in mine that it's a 40v drill so will only work with the larger 20/40v battery and not the 20v. This makes it a bit on the bulky side.

Great video Phill, for less than £20 you can't go wrong with that ,if you use it all the time and only get 1 year out of it , It's paid for it self .but I know you will a few years out of it I've got a ferrex mains powered drill 600 watts that's a good drill had it about 6 years. as all ways very useful and honest view thanks mate😀🔨🔧🪚🪛👍👍👍
