Fengda Airbrush Test
Woodturning - a quick template effect using Chestnut Spirit Stains and a dual-action Fengda airbrush. It performed well in this little test!

Since I started making these videos in 2017, I have been lucky enough to receive the support of some manufacturers with materials to use in my videos. Since May 2018, Chestnut Products have provided me with stains, an iridescent paints sample set, lacquers and waxes. I'd like to thank them for their kind and generous support. Martin Saban-Smith has provided me with a sample set of Intrinisic Colours.
All other products and tools, unless where indicated, have been bought from suppliers at retail prices. Products mentioned in my videos are for information purposes so that viewers know what I have used.

As always, a great video. I use an airbrush on almost all my turnings, but have not tried using stencils. I thought you did a very good job on explaining how to take apart and clean the airbrush.

Thanks for watching, Doug! Glad you liked it!
Great tutorial I have been considering trying out airbrushing but a lot of the vids. I’ve watched seem too complex for a complete novice You have covered the basic requirements to get started

Glad it was helpful, Neil. Let me know how you get on!
‘bout time! 😂 Interesting sprayers. Guess I need to dig mine out and have a play. Black does add a nice contrast to those sunrise colors.

Great video Stewart and fantastic explanation of how to clean the Air Brushes after use. I managed to get a set of the Sealey Air brushes a couple of years ago at a really good price as well. Take care Stewart. Cheers, Huw

Thanks, Huw! They're a great set!
Great new take on the template effect👍 . I've got a similar set up to you Stewart (you are a bad influence lol) with a bunch of cheap Amazobay airbrushes each with a dedicated stain colour bottle and then a few gravity fed ones for paints or other stuff. Don't think I paid more than £20 each when I set up and it works well, quick to change colours with minimal cleaning interruption.

Haha...I think the expression is, 'You can never have too many airbrushes!' Definitely the best set up is to have a dedicated brush for each stain!
Very cooooool effect Mr Stewart! And great priced airbrush! 😃

Hi Stewart another learning video just like the one you did at our club this month. My question is is the 182k worth getting as you did not demonstrate this airbrush. I like the idea of the bottle which also store the paint.

Hi Charles - if you wanted to try out airbrushing before committing to buying lots of airbrushes, then this one might be a good one to start with. They do make a siphon fed one if you wanted to get a siphon fed one as a first brush - it's pretty comparable with the one in this video and the siphon fed ones I use: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B076VP8VSD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Did you notice that their BD-810 kit looks identical to the Sealy?

I did....£130 on Fengda airbrush site...one small difference I noticed is that the trigger has a serrated edge to the top disc...I've had an airbrush with this design before and it was a little temperamental in comparison to the Sealey ones...but it wasn't branded so these Fengda ones might be just the same as the Sealey ones...don't need another set though!
