Fendt 1050 Vario Part 2 - Seed Drilling UK

On Thursday 24th March, Fendt UK very kindly brought their Fendt 1050 Vario and spent the day with us. We understand that at the time, this was currently the only Fendt 1050 in the country, so we felt very privileged to have it with us.
After spending the morning on the plough, we decided to hook the Fendt 1050 onto our Vaderstad 8.0m seed drill. We had the tyre pressures dropped right down but we would have liked to remove the rear wheel weights. As we only had the tractor for a limited time, we didn’t end up doing this.
Like on the plough, the Fendt 1050 Vario did an excellent job of pulling the Vaderstad 8.0m seed drill. Overall we were very happy with it’s capabilities.

Again shows that these tractors mean business.It will be interesting to compare the two fields. In this day and age compaction is an important factor to take into consideration when carrying out top work whilst leaving minimal foot prints from the machines.There is a place for both tracks and wheels on the farm. A bit off topic but the accompanying music really lends itself to the video as the tractor glides along speaking as a bit of a pianist myself. Keep up the good work Mark.
The Fendt probably didn't even notice the drill it was pulling. A well built machine is a work of art, beautiful land you have there. There is no better feeling then tending the land and watching your crops grow. Excellent video.
I just wait and hope too see this wonderfull 1050 vario here in Sweden. And a very nice video!

Lovely film - so nice of you to share this video of the Fendt 1050 on your farm - it truly is a magnificent machine. I would love to see one 'in the flesh' myself one day. How far ag.machines/tractors have come in the last 30+ years - I trained as an ag.mechanic in 1985 on DB 1210's, Zetor Crystals (way ahead of their time, as the Fendt is today) MF 135/165's etc and Ford 4/5000's - all a far cry from this machine! Regards..

Great video, Looks a great piece of kit but I can't see that farms are going to go away from their Challengers due to the benefits of tracks. Can't see that you will find a better tractor to pull plows like yours in wet conditions though.

Wonderful video as ever! Doesn't the drill look so feeble behind the 1050.. Looks like the Phantom 4 is getting a good using ;) So, the big question, will you be looking into the 1050 more?...

Why you dont do a partnership with farming simulator or someone who can make your farm intro a map for farming simulator! that would be AMAZING!!

+Warter Priory Estate they just creat imaginary farms And the maps are to small.. But other players creat real map localizations And put then on web for download
