Comparing the size of lungs to differences in genders is idiotic their are physical differences between the sexs. They can identify as whatever they chose but those physical differences are still their. You need to separate your social justice from your biology and attempt to understand human anatomy on a greater level. They didn’t tie for first though did they? They tied for fifth. And in the video it looks to me like Lia’s hand did touch the wall a fraction of a second before the other girl. So to me that looks like Lia DID come in fifth. Weird that she doesn’t have a problem with the four cis gender girls that beat her, just the transgender one. They all clearly had a physical advantage over her AND Lia because they swam faster and beat them both. The trans girl is young and is clearly on hormone therapy that has reduced her testosterone to the same level of the other girls and because she is young she will not yet have benefitted from the higher testosterone levels that biological males have. That is why she placed fifth not first. If she hadn’t had any hormone therapy she would have beaten every last one of them by a wide margin. I am just a casual swimmer and I would probably beat them all easily because I naturally benefit from my body’s production of an S1 anabolic substance. But if as a teenager I started therapy to reduce my testosterone levels and increase my oestrogen levels to the same level of the teenage girls around me, my physical advantage over them would diminish very quickly and competing with cis gender girls would not be easy and I might not place in the top 3 anymore. Just like Lia.

You know it’s insane, either home school them or encourage them to question everything. Not necessarily in the classroom as they will no doubt be disciplined for it, but outside of school, in libraries, through their own research. I did with my children. If they complained that the teacher taught differently, we researched things at home and separately. I explained that school can only teach in a certain way. That they have a curriculum that doesn’t suit everyone.

@@tomonetruth Can you explain the "casual hatred of 'transgenderism' " please? If anything it seems like an issue that society has created. Transgender isn't a new thing. But because of the recent focus on it the last couple years, it has become a bigger subject and focal point than it has been in awhile, and honestly, probably more than ever was before this day and age. Any male that is transitioning to a female knows they have *genetic* advantages. Especially after puberty. It's not a personal opinion or feeling; it's fact, and backed by science and biology. This isn't a hate on transgender people, it is about the genuine equity of it all. No hate just saying my opinion. 🙂 Context can be lost in reading obviously. But just saying my few cents. But I would like to know what you mean by what you said in your comment, if you dont mind diving into it more? 🙂

  • @michaelwright116

Honestly sports is literally supposed to bring people together to promote equality. Women fought hard for their rights to be allowed to compete in sports and while it's getting better it's not where it needs to be. And adding trans females into women's leagues is only a step in the wrong direction. I have nothing against every day trans people and their rights as human beings. But trans females (biological males) who have aspirations of dominating whatever their favorite sport may be should either have to play against other trans females or they'll just have to join a Male league. Again. I think starting a petition for trans leagues would make it so everyone wins instead of continuously giving biological women the short end of the stick.

@@sheeparebillygoats7221 freedom of speech doesn’t exist. It’s a right but let’s face it, it’s not respected anywhere. If only protects you from the jail cell, unfortunately freedom of speech isn’t respected or acknowledged anywhere else.

It is sad that this is occurring in women's sports. It is even sadder that it takes courage to speak your true feelings.

I know you people will probably never believe this. But a large majority of trans people also don’t support this.

@Hoof Beats, get out of here with your “participation trophy” argument. If it were participation trophies only, no one would care. But they’re competing… ranked… placed…. And for some competitions it’s the difference between getting a scholarship or not.

I disagree. It is not sad. It is infuriating. It is sad that the vast majority of those victimized, atheletes, coaches, colleges by this clear power play don't create a new league and boycott the government institutions that allow this and march on the politicians destroying a life time's work. Tell them there will be No US in the Olympics for women's sports of any kind and No participation in any event that allows this nonsense. Just gather together as a group and inform them and the reps and senators that they can stuff it and that they will work to target and eliminate them from their respective jobs. That they will, wherever possible join with other organizations so inclined for the specific purpose of removing them and, wherever possible, launch civil suites expressly against the individuals responsible. You trained your whole life to be strong. Be strong now.

Why don't they boycot those competitions and let the trans alone in the swimming pool ? It just take a little bit of talking.
