Never really had any big problem with this gimbal and like it a lot. I have had the 85mm rf 1.2 on it and it works which is very front heavy set up, you may need to use the top brace provided just to help it to not wobble. The base plate can flex a little causing this problem. But with a eos r with a 35mm rf works easy. The auto adaption button also helps with jitters. I really like using the underslung with the carbon extension, very easy to hold and use. If you want to do fast rotations, you need to take it out of pan mode as it response is quite slow, which i find is a good thing on lower frame rates like 24 and 30. It can sometimes be a pain and get the wobbles, but i have found it is due to the base plate is not really secure and it does this as it has a small contact area, re adjust the plate or fit the brace, then it is all good.

*BANG* This little lens holder ( the Y thingy) changes a lot. I was able to get my EOS R with a Tamron 24-70 f/2.8 working but it felt kinda weak. Now with the Y it feels much more stable. Simple but effective.

I bought one of these and have an a7r iv with a 16-35. I've spent a ton of time trying to get it to balance perfectly. I get a lot of motor hum from the upper most motor, which should be the easiest to balance. I'm not using the lens support......I guess I better try it before I cry too much.....

Hi! Just purchased the AK4500 and excited to use it but I can't get My Canon 5D Mark iv to connect tp the gimbal!! Sure the gimbal; works but I have the usb connected directly to it and I can't control the shutter. Anyone else have that problem? Can control the auto focus but that's about it. When the usb is connected the recored button does not work on the camera. In fact no functions on the camera directly work. I've contacted her directly and no go. Any advice would be appreciated!!

I would love to get this for my bmpcc but the huge differences between these youtube reviews (little to no problems) and actual buyer reviews on b&h, adorama, and amazon (tons of issues with pieces not working together, jitter, etc) makes me really nervous. I just have a hard time believing that the experiences of these people can be so different and it makes me uneasy about buying this. I would love a review that mentions one issue that isn't like 'oh, i just needed to get used to this quirk and it's all good.' This review was actually pretty balanced but I want to know: did the lens support solve the jitter and issues with the larger lenses once and for all or not?

What about dance videos? I need something that can do dance videos as well as sometimes cinematic ones. Among DJI and AK4500 which one do i choose? Any other option to consider?

  • @MysticApertureStudios

@@Rahulk03 i havent used a ronin so i cant tell the experience of it but i have watch a lot of videos on youtube and i concluded that no single gimbal is a perfect gimbal. DJI is a very good gimbal and the only advantage i think DJI has over AK4500 is being very responsive in sports mode. For music videos and cinematic shots any damn gimbal will work just fine as long as it doesnt suffer from micro jitters and vibrations. I have shot 6 dance videos with AK4500 and i didnt experience any micro jitters or weird shivers on this. I'm not saying that AK4500 is the perfect gimbal, it has some issues with its dead angle settings, i mailed feiyutech and they told me that their software team is already working on it and it'll be taken care of in a firmware upgrade. Here is a link to one of the videos i shot and i use nikon d7100 for my video work. Its a quite pathetic video cam. kzread.info/dash/bejne/iaCqqMiFf9HTcdI.html

IMHO, it's the most feature rich gimbal among competition. However, in stability and smoothness department it's the worst, too shaky, jittery and too abrupt.

@@damiencooper I was on a verge of buying it but postponed it until more reviews comes out. And every single review reveals same jittery, shaky and not smooth footage. When panning or doing orbiting shots there is really noticeable robotic feel to it. Coming from Crane Plus I could zoom in and out without rebalancing gimbal and it would be ok for shorter takes. However, seeing you have to use this Y thingy - lens support even for normal use, I'm not confident I could do the same thing with AK4500
