    Is there a way to add Top handle to this dual handle gimbal. Sometimes I like to grab the gimbal from above instead of using my two hands

    it well explained that why someone complaint the gimbal is not stable, you can not shake violently and expect a stable shootage. because it is just the assistant to improve the stable.

    Hey Daniel, Great tutorial. I was able to get my RED balanced nicely, but even with my Motor strength high via the app, anytime I tilt the camera forwards as well as backwards, the motors seems to give, and the camera/gimbal falls forward all the way. Any thoughts on what might be going wrong? my total camera setup weight is 8.1lbs

    Hi, I am having similar issue. Fuji XT-3 with grip, all balanced nicely buy whether on dual handle for normal single grip, as soon as I start to walk my camera swivels (pans) around. I prefer to leave it in Lock mode but it keeps switching to Follow/Pan as default. Did you solve the problem.

  • @DanielBender

    @DanielBender

    It depends on your camera setup. If you are just rocking a mirrorless camera and smaller lens setup the sc2 is probably going to be a better setup. If you need the ability to add a larger camera setup to it the AK4500 will be a better option

    @@Directorvhim A while ago I started getting a weird jerk from the pan motor when I was trying to pan really slowly. It was fixed with a firmware update but started doing it again shortly after. I haven’t heard of anyone else with that issue though. I’ve moved away from the a lot of gimbal work over the last year and have been shooting a lot more handheld and steadicam. But I never had any issues getting the shots I wanted from the AK4500

    +Birk Kromann hmmm, maybe try a little longer lens. Something to give it a little more counter weight. 16-35, 18-35 or 24-70.

    Daniel Bender but won't that make it even more top heavy?

  • @DanielBender

    @DanielBender

    4 жыл бұрын

    +Birk Kromann not necessarily. Because of how RED’s weight is distributed (being so top heavy) means that the fulcrum point with a smaller lens is much smaller are harder for the motors to control. If you can add more length on the the camera (ie. allow for a more forgiving fulcrum point) you should be able to control the balance more. Not sure if that makes sense or not haha. Think of it like this... if you take a 2 foot long 2”x4” piece of wood and lay it on top of a pipe in the center. It’s going to be fairly hard to keep the piece of wood balanced. But if you take a 4 foot long 2”x4” and place the pipe on the center, it’s going to be much easier to balance on it’s own

    Hi there, been given your link by Feiyutech. Using a Fuji XT-3 with grip, all balanced nicely but whether on dual handle for normal single grip, as soon as I start to walk my camera swivels (pans) around. I prefer to leave it in 'Lock mode' but it keeps switching to Follow/Pan as default. I have tried all sorts of setting but don't know what's right. Tried extra motor strength and tried low motor. Tried Default Mode, Smooth mode etc. Would love to know what would be the ideal setting for my setup up. Would be a great idea if there was a guide with certain cameras and the 'best settings' Do you think its purely done to how I walk and I need to practice more. I know the product is great but I have not got the results (handheld) I was hoping for. Any suggestions?? kzread.info/dash/bejne/mK53o9ypk6fQgdY.html 40 secs >

    Laurence Grant Hey, thanks for reaching out. So this is one think I have noticed as well that I have never been able to find a solution for because I think FeiyuTech built it in purposely... I noticed the gimbal settings switched from lock mode to follow/pan when you double tapped the front button with your right pointer finger... I believe that button is meant to reset the position of your camera as well as the settings for the gimbal. It looks like it stayed locked until then, correct?

  • @DanielBender

    @DanielBender

    Laurence Grant I just watched the video again. It looks like the gimbal is performing correctly... In order to reposition the gimbal head when in lock mode, you would need to use your joystick and rotate the gimbal. I’d be happy to jump on a zoom call with you if that’s not the issue and see if I can help mimic the issue with mine.

    @@DanielBender Hi Dan, Checking the time in Seattle! Been doing a bit more testing today on AK4500. I think I have made a bit of progress so can we hold on Zoom atm. Have a look at this quick video. I have noticed that when I set 'Pan/follow'. Right top (the default I don't like) the camera 'behaves' and when on 'Lock' (left top) the camera rid swings/pans :( Does this happen with your set up. I know its a bigger rig. I think FT should have list of ideal setting for each style of camera (based on weight/size) Let me come back to you or if you have any info, can come back to me that would be great . Cheers. kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z6qNrdSyirrahLw.html
