2x CrossFit Games Champion Kevin Koester CRUSHES 2021 CrossFit Open 21.1 WOD!!
Спорт
For Time
1-3-6-9-15-21 Wall Walks
10-30-60-90-150-210 Double-Unders
Time Cap: 15 minutes
Prior to starting the workout, the athlete will need to mark two lines on the floor for the Wall Walks (see Movement Standards section). This workout begins with the athlete standing behind the furthest line from the wall and facing the wall. After the call of “3, 2, 1… go,” the athlete may step over the line, turn around and perform 1 Wall Walk followed by 10 Double-Unders. Once the Double-Unders are complete, the athlete will move back to the Wall Walks to repeat the sequence. The number of Wall Walks and Double-Unders will increase each round. This workout ends when the athlete completes the final rep of the Double-Unders.
The Score will be the total time it takes to complete the workout or the total number of repetitions completed before the 15-minute time cap.

Nahh let them be chubby and angry that an old timer can be that good in shape!!! That will be punishment enough.
I reckon this guy would be in the top 10% in any age group. Awesome, performance, what a role model for so many.
Incredible!!!! This guy is a MACHINE!!!! I do CrossFit and at 46yrs of age this guy just kicked my ass in the 21.1 open. Well done!!!

I am 52 and My shoulders hurt from just watching the walk climbs! But this vid motivated me to push through my WOD this morning 👍
I keep looking at The Warlord ( Koester looks like the DC comics character minus the armor) for any sign of weakness and there isn't one....he's a BEAST! and my hero. As a 54 year old father who lives in France and loves good food, but is a bit overweight, he's an inspiration. I can do this! I mean... a bit of this! Thank you.
Ver estos videos me motivan muchísimo para seguir con el crossfit... Me encantan...!!!
BOTH EQUALLY IMPRESSIVE !!!! Great stuff!!!
Stepped up my training just because of this video... Inspiring.. a few yrs younger than you. Cheers
I love watching the master's events! reminds me being over 50 doesn't mean you are weak.
I gotta say Kevin, I am currently 55, 56 in August, and you are truly an inspiration to me! Dedication and hard work will pay off! Glad I found you. Following on instagram.
One of the best Videos I have ever seen such an inspiration Congrats to both 👏👏💪💪👍👍

Respect, Mr Koester!🙌
I'm only 26 and did the scaled because I don't have double unders consistently and did it in 14:20, with starting the crossfit life six months prior and losing 53lbs so far(currently 171). This guy is really motivating and I aspire to get better.
Love the lady on his left counting with her finger.... like she's a human metronome.
I get tired when watching it let alone do it. Great work
I’m 24 and I honestly was annoyed with the fact that no matter how hard you work you can’t escape Father Time but this geezer absolutely crushing it
I wanna be kevin koester when i grow up.
I would love to know how old he is! I’m 38, and I’m one of the oldest members at the CrossFit gym I attend at. He has totally inspired me to not make excuses with my age. I haven’t been doing CrossFit very long but when I don’t do well, I use my age as an excuse but I won’t no more! Great job 🙌🏽

38 is still pretty much prime. I'm 56 now, still playing soccer and working out. You just need to modify some things as far as your workouts. Make sure you're not stressing your joints, etc. Also need to find reasons to continue pushing mentally. What's interesting is that as time goes on I have found it easier to stay fit smarter. My diet is terrible though...pre-teen kids so too much junk food around.

I want to 2nd Vanessa. I’m new to CrossFit and I let my mind tell me I can’t do some things because of my age. I need to remember that while some things are harder than they used to be due to age most is simply because I’ve let myself “feel” old and became lazy. This guy is amazing and proof that the older lions still have teeth! Congrats Kevin!
Wow. He smashed it . what a legend.

I'm 47 and last year I did 1/2 Murphy scaled but completed the full mile run before and after. We have a 52 yo in the gym who did the entire thing and crushed everybody and we have some absolutely shredded guys in their 20's. He was about 5 minutes ahead of second place.

Stay the course and you shall be rewarded. Now I am a fatty trying to get back in shape (I was slim and muscular a couple of years ago...), but I am hopeful still. I remember seeing a guy at a gym I frequented who was in his sixties: Shredded and strong as hell. All hope is not lost...
Just keep putting in the work. Results come.

RIght. I think when those videos get submitted, you'll see many athletes who thought they had a solid score find out many of their moves were no repped. That's why it's important to have objective judges review the tape after the first attempt to see if it needs to be redone on Monday.

How many double-unders from 210 he has done?
Adcive: switch of the music - it is even more impressive. I decided to do physical exercises without „motivational“ music several months ago because my music equipment broke down. And I have to say - for me - this really was a good decision. I am no longer distracted by artificial motivation from the outside (sound) -now I have to motivate myself from my inner self and that seems to develop into a much stronger basis than music could do. Try it from time to time.
