Feiyu Tech AK4500 gimbal review

Feiyu Tech kindly sent me this gimbal to review and have not paid me for anything I say in this video.
This is a review of the brand new gimbal from Feiyu Tech, the AK4500 gimbal.
With it's massive payload, new remote control handle and superb build quality this gimbal is this another great product from Feiyu?
Watch the video to hear my thoughts, the pros and the cons if you're on the lookout for a heavy duty gimbal.

    That's a lot of using solution in AK4500 I think total 4 different way,the first is the handle bar(screen+joystick),second is the multifunction knob.thirdly is APP and fourth is hte remote controller!great working solution!

    This is an old Amazon Basics Tripod. They don't do it anymore. I got it as I wanted something sturdy for doing long exposures. It's great for that but it's also stupidly heavy and really cumbersome to use

    Graeme, nice to here an 'English' voice here on KZread. Can I use with my Pan Lum SZ330? (bridge camera) I know what you mean about the focus on Panasonic my is all in and all out difficult to get a nice slow in/out. I'm considering buying a dedicated camera (low cost) video camera for the 4500 ? What do you suggest? On camera mic; Can I put a Rode 'type' mic on the separate handle or is there some better option? Great review.

  • @GraemeSimpsonPhotography

    low cost still depends on how much that low cost is :) the 4500 is designed to carry bigger cameras/weight so to have a light camera body on there is a bit of a waste. You could get something like the G90 and buy some good lenses or the G9 is an awesome camera that you can pick up second hand really well. As I said, it all depends on the budget

    Still watching, but can I ask what setting you are using in your camera recording. Looks wide open but how are you always in focus? Are you in manual or have super continuous focus on your camera?

  • @GraemeSimpsonPhotography

    Think it would have been around f/4 and manual focus which gives me a little more wiggle room in depth of field to stay in focus easier. I also have peaking on so I can see on the monitor if I need to move.

    Can the ak4500 be configured to have its sensitivity increased at the press and hold of a button? For example if we press and hold the front trigger button the gimbal goes into sports mode, just like the go mode button on the zhuyin crane 3.

  • @GraemeSimpsonPhotography

    @GraemeSimpsonPhotography

    You can use the trigger button for three different options. When holding the button you can either have Fast Follow, Lock mode or Pan & tilt follow. You just configure which you want it to be in the Feiyu App

    @@GraemeSimpsonPhotography thank you so much! I am confused between zhiyun crane 3 lab and feiyutech ak4500. I believe ak4500 is a bit cost effective but i want a smooth gimbal that doesn't suffer from jitters and jerks.

    @@saffronfalcon I've used both and they're very good gimbals. Each has it's strengths so it's very hard to choose the perfect gimbal. the Crane can carry 2.6kg while the AK4500 can carry 4.6kg so if you use heavier setups this may help

    @@GraemeSimpsonPhotography thanks again for the reply. I like the package of feiyutech ak4500. the implementation of the rear handle is a lot better plus the battery life is an added advantage. I liked the wireless follow focus control of moza's ifocus which the feiyutech have implemented using their remote handle. I just hope the gimble is smooth and free from the bugs of ak4000. Will be buying this in August.
