The Trapdoor spider is nocturnal hunter. If it was going to attack, it would have hooded his trapdoor and prepared those legs. Unlike most spiders, they spread all eight out front to secure webbing and their door. That was a territorial display from the lil guy. But this is why on nature documentaries, they only get shots of a trap door spider with night camera/footage. David Attenborough, ya'll.

I have had MANY jumpers...each has their own personality...some are scared of certain foods you provide them, some are picky, some will eat anything and decorate their enclosures with mangled corpses 😂😂. Your big girl... I would try to feed her flies, jumpers generally like stuff like flies because the hunt is a huge part of their process... sometimes the roaches bother them their shells are harder to penetrate in time for their juices to paralyze them. Crickets are also one they love more than roaches. I bet if you tried a fly though, that big girl would eat no problem. The amount of feeders I've had to have at one time when I kept jumpers because of the differences in each one haha. 😂😂

8:42 you could probably use the ones with the bigger holes and hinges but instead of flat rectangle hinges, you could probably make them round so they still lean all the way back but they fill the gap. Just a suggestion. Haven’t come up with any negatives to it yet 😅

Why not a blind hole for the hinges and the hinges a little bit shorter? I mean if the acryl is 3mm thick make a 2mm blind hole and 1,5mm hinges. This will bring you some advantages. First no hole second shorter hinges, mean smaller amount of leverage.

Do you have any Australian Funnel-web spiders (Atrax robustus)? They are beautiful spiders, but very dangerous. Especially the males, which are believed to be 67 times more venomous than the females and can kill a grown man in about 15 minutes (Because of the Atrax toxin which is only present in the males) However, there is no reported cases of death from a female bite.
