Mr. Smith motivated me as a young boy to start playing football! In the mid 80s to mid 90s I was a big Buffalo Bills fan Bruce Smith had a lot to do with my football background! Lawrence Taylor was a second person that motivated me to play football GOAT

And when dallas played that flex we couldnt do anything with them. Hated the manster but he was a bad dude with bad intentions. When football was football.

All of them could ruin the average Joe's life..... lol . There is a guy from the gym that played on the Rams title team Tyoka Jackson . Dude is 6'3" 280 almost no fat and is in Spin class riding faster than anyone else. I have tried to explain to Rucker park baskeball fans. When someone does something for a living they are better than you.

Randy White definitely one of the best cowboys of all time! Very underrated amongst pass rushers all time.

My good friend from high school was Don McCafferty, his father was the head coach of the Baltimore Colts.....in 1970 the Colts summer training camp was in Golden Colorado......after camp was over Don called me to ask if I’d pick him up at the airport which I did.....Don asked me to help him with his luggage which consisted of three bags that didn’t have a clothes in them, but......two cases of Coors tall cans.....he explained the story to me and we laughed.....I did get a six pack from him.....Coors was the best, especially back then......the Colts went on to win Super Bowl 5...

They are all DEs which is like outside line backer except you rushing 76-99 percent of the plays. They said DL, but it should be ends. Two guys who would of been there or should is Deacon and Ed jones. Them and white man also wish they did what they did with RBs and had JJ or some other recent one. They could do DTs though that would be nice. I hope they do DBs or safeties next then kickers, defense and special teams has been my favorite part which is SB 53 was my favorite and the card hawk game is my favorite reg season cause it ended up in a 6-6 four FG tie with a blocked punt and two missed OT FGs

As a Giants fan in the 70's no opponent scared me more than Randy White. Great player.

A lot of talent at this table. Randy White is my favorite football player ever. He was strong,intense,great technique but my favorite attribute was his speed. He could run down a wide receiver. Would’ve been cool to have had Harvey Martin there with him. Good bunch of guys and a good program Michael Straham. 👍

Growing up, I HAAAAATED the Cowboys (still do), but the one guy who always caught my eye was Randy White. Man oh man, he was just a baaaaaad dude, and even on TV, you could tell he just had an amazing aura about him. So as much as I couldn't stand the Cowboys, I was always as BIG fan of Randy. People may talk about Ed "Too Tall" Jones, "Hollywood" Henderson, etc., but IMO the man who led those great Cowboys teams on defense was #54.

Randy was my football hero when I was a kid. He held that D Line down back in the day. Dude could bench 500lbs too.

Well put chris, i remember Randy "The Manster" White. He and Harvey Martin winning the CO-MVP's of the superbowl. I think that was the first time a D-lineman had won that. It was always the QB,RB, OR RECEIVER. Another guy that would have been nice to see at that table was Mr. Cowboy, Bob Lilly, i've heard old time players talk about the hardest hits they took and number 74 was mentioned by several. Not dirty, but when he hit a man, that man hit the ground.

Bruce Smith off the football field is the contrast of contrasts. We all who watched him play know what a super human brutal player he was. Big, mean, and quick. To see him and hear him in this setting is blowing my mind. The others look and talk like football players. Well spoken all of them. I know I'm showing my age but the first time I remember seeing Bruce Smith was in the movie Little Giants. And his advice is still just as prevalent today as it was 25 years ago: Intimidation! Ha. Also, Steve Emtman's "Football is 80% mental and 40% physical" line is pretty nifty too if we're talking D-Line!

All these guys are legends but Randy White the way he looks & talks even at 66 yrs old here is the most intimadating.

Defensive ends and tackles should have been seperated as much as inside and outside linebackers should have been. Their roles are very different.

Randy White was FEARED around the league among ALL players, black, white, young, old, offense and defense. It was well known that he was naturally the strongest player in the league. Just ask Hollywood Henderson.

I played with Howie in Pop Warner. He was 9, playing on the under 12 team because he was so big. He had to run for 3 straight hours in a rubber suit just to make the preseason weight, as a 9 year old. When these guys talk about hard work, i think of Howie running as a 9 year old. He made the weight!! He is an awesome guy from a really large and great family. One of his uncles was coaching us.

😆 amazing how soft & well spoken Bruce Smith is! Watching him play you'd think Bruce would speak like Ivan in rocky 4...."I must break you!"

Such a thrill to watch videos like this. Growing up in the mid-60s and onward, I remember the great defensive lines of the Rams, Cowboys, and Vikings. Regardless of the number of chairs you put around this table, you would always have to add one more. I love our sport!

I love these talks. How privileged am I having gotten to see all of these amazing men play the game. Thank you to all of you for decades of amazing memories.

Abso-frikkin-lutely FANTASTIC!! I always loved D-Line the most, and watching these guys talk defense was like a dream come true. The way they played, their work ethic, and their passion for the game shows why they are all in the HOF.

I met The Manster a few year ago and told him he looked like he could still play! All the guys are great...

As a Dallas Cowboy fan, Randy White a.k.a. "Captain Crunch" when playing the LA Rams ran down John Cappaletti 40 yards down field and dislocated Cappelletti's shoulder. Howie Long was ejected from a "frozen field game" game for wearing baseball spikes.

These videos are absolutely legendary.

I remember how I cried I was 10 when Simms got injured just at the last stretch of the season... bcs, though he wasn`t a Montana, he always took the hits and kept coming back, and for him to be out, it had to be serious....I would defend him to death as I felt he was a tough warrior, plus, I was living in LA and was practically the only Giants fan there, so ...last year, listening to no other than Randy recognizing Simms as tough... it makes me really, really happy...topped by Howie verifying it.. I`m 40 now, but makes me feel 10 again... love Football and its mistique...and that`s just because of these guys.. thank you all.

One thing they did not acknowledge was Randy White (along with his team mate Harvey Martin) was the only defensive lineman to win MVP in a Super Bowl.

Great show, all these guys were difference makers in their time !! They could change the outset of the gamees they played in. As all said they worked their butts off to be the best. Im glad to say I watch them all in their hayday, being in Pittsburgh, we had our share too!!!

Imagine strahan and Lawrence Taylor both at their primes at the same times in the giants along with Harry Carson.No one could beat them.

I don't know. Strahan was a 4-3 defensive end. Wouldn't be big enough for the 3-4. Taylor only played in a 3-4. Couldn't be a 4-3 defensive because he was terrible in coverage.
