Wanna know what I love about these highlights? Look at how Reggie tackles, he doesn't launch himself like a missile for helmet to helmet trying to kill people. He remembers to just tackle, he wraps up, brings you down. Doesn't try to be fancy, and the way he celebrates, simple and humble. Thank you Philadelphia for making the inexcusable mistake off letting go of Reggie. He made everyone on that Packers D better. He made Sean Jones better, he made Santana Dotson better, and he made Gilbert Brown better. Reggie, Favre, Holmgren and Wolf turned Green Bay back into winners. I’m glad we got a ring for him.
@paulgaither
3 жыл бұрын
You can thank SF for choosing George Siefert over Holmgren to take over for Walsh. Mike Holmgren desperately wanted the 49ers job. He wanted it after George left, but they chose Mooch, so Mike went to Seattle. Later, after Seattle, Mike went on record wanted to be the GM of the 49ers, but settled for the Browns. In 2015/2016 he wanted to be the head coach after Harbaugh and/or be the GM but SF always turned him down. I don't know why. Imagine a time line where Holmgren was the HC since 89 and he didn't help green bay take over the NFC in the 90's and it remained Dallas vs SF and then just SF after Dallas was done and no green bay... And then what he did with the Seahawks, but kept it up with SF. It could have been close to Belichick levels. A ring in 89 and 94 and maybe another in between. Maybe the ring in 96 instead of Green Bay and a chance in 97.

@@1990Thunderbolt - I don't know how sarcastic you are being, but it is true. Well, Brady wouldn't have been used as well with that squad as the Patriots used him. The staff was not good. However, everybody expected Rodgers to get drafted by SF and the world was shocked when they took capitan check down. Also, hindsight is 20/20 but SF had the #2 pick in 2017 and only had Hoyer the destroyer at QB. Watson and Mahomes were in their lap and they went with Solomon Thomas. Sure, they later got Jimmy G, but you cannot tell me that an unproven rookie Watson and Mahomes mobility are NOT what Shanahan wants/needs in his zone scheme with play action and bootlegs.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr White on several occasions. He was a beautiful human being. I don't know how else to explain him. Great man.
What's hilarious is that in a lot of those sacks, he's not really beating people off the ball or even trying to go around anybody, he's just going *through* people. "You're trying to use one person to keep me off your qb? That's cute." Some off the guys Reggie was flinging around are Hall of Famers like Jackie Slater and Larry Allen. The fact he still sits at #2 on the all-time sack list, and that Bruce Smith only has him beat by two, speaks for itself.

The scariest thing about Reggie White is how Bill Belichick, who was the defensive coordinator for the Giants at the time, pined really hard for the Giants to draft him, but the front office instead chose to draft an OL instead, who ended up never playing for the Giants anyway. Reggie White and Lawrence Taylor could have helped the Giants create dynasty for several years from that time. Thank God the Giants did not listen to Belichick.

@@tocadadj2951 Tell that to Reggie White, right after he makes the sack on ya. For him, the grid iron was the Minister of Defense's altar upon which he would sacrifice quarterbacks. For Reggie, it was not only a religion, but a spiritual battle, most of which he won. Now let us pray 🙏 , okay? oK G💪💪D!! Thanks 😊
Dislikes must be the quarterbacks who Reggie didn't say "Bless you" to.

This is a 🔥🔥🔥 video the greatest defensive lineman ever reggie is one of a kind player
Best defensive lineman ever. Dominated at all 4 D-line positions. In an era that didn’t pass as much as today. Look at how he was unblockable he was.
Damn I'm a Cowboys & to see him throw Larry Allen right at the beginning that tell you all you need to know Larry Allen was the best lineman of the 90s

@@frankfrega1302 shit honestly you probably right I remember see him kill it on them Pro Bowl bench press nobody was stronger 💪 Larry Allen was a badass 😎
He tossed Larry Allen down like he was a 185 pound man. This is the same Larry Allen who is in the Hall of Fame and is considered one of the best Left Tackles to ever play the game and one of the best offensive linemen to ever play the game. That’s how dominant Reggie White was as a defensive player period. I don’t put LT and Reg 1 and 2. I put them as 1A and 1B because they both wrecked havoc on teams.

I got to watch that Super Bowl with my older sister and one of her friends. It was exciting. I didn't know he played for the other teams featured here. I thought he retired after Green Bay. Thank you to the team that put this together. 💚💛
In the discussion of greatest defensive lineman of all-time, there's Reggie White, and then there's everyone else.

These people talking about Donald? Haha. He’s already in his prime and he’s still not at reggies sacks per game pace. And it will only go down from here. Y’all just don’t know about Reggie.

BEST PLAYER EVER TO WEAR A PRO NFL UNIFORM...IM A GREEN BAY PACKER FAN SINCE DAY ONE..THANK YOU REGGIE WHITE FOR SOME AWESOME MEMORIES...R.I.P. CHAMP!!!!! #1
Reggie is the REAL all time sack leader. Sure, Bruce Smith might have the record, but it took him 3 extra seasons than Reggie to get the record, and he only beat him by 2 sacks. Smith literally refused to retire until he got the record. Had Reggie played just as long Bruce, NOBODY would have ever caught Reggie's sack record. Reggie AVERAGED 13.5 sacks PER SEASON, over 15 seasons. Nobody else even comes close to that in NFL history. He is without question, THE GREATEST NFL defensive lineman of all time.

Before Aaron Donald or Von Miller, there was Reggie White. What an absolute beast!
He was an absolute game changer a dominator.
The reason I played football and became an Eagles fan 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
Simply awesome!
Being a Washington Redskins fan I saw Reggie White up close twice a year and sometimes 3 times if both teams made the playoffs... Reggie White was and unstoppable monster. He was just as good as Lawrence Taylor, maybe not as spectacular but the second greatest defensive player I ever saw... He threw grown offensive linemen around like you flick eye boogers... Sad that he died at such a young age...Truly a man amongst men...
I've always said, if I could build an NFL defense, Reggie White would be one of my captains 🏈
An Absolute Pleasure Watching This!
I wish I could've seen him play live. He is really great
