When a 85 year old woman loves Chris and explains it like this, you know how amazing he is. My mom said "Hes telling you that you are pwerful and noone owns you." Shocked the hell outta me, but shes right. A million thanks to this man who even broke into an old womans heart. He is and was a king of his nation. Miss you so much!

They had great names (and it's rare) with significant and simple meaning (thanks to Chris) and amazing songs that sounded like no one else. I would love your input on the first video of my first album. It got the attention of one of my heroes Joe Bouchard (ex bass player founding members of BÖC) who is following us on Soundcloud but returns from people who likes same music is always the best. I know we cant get inside the pain that people feel when they cannot take on life anymore But, its so very hard for us to accept that, that person who gives so much pleasure & has so talented & has brought so much meaning & joy to the lives of others, isnt there anymore. We have to allow them to follow the dicates of their own heart & soul no matter how much it pains us & how much we want to reach out to them & tell them No, please dont do this.. We cant, its desperately sad & as so many will say What a waste of such talent & such a person & how much more they had to achieve But they are our feelings & we cry because we hurt We cry for how we feel Without that person It was Chris's choice, we can Never know what was within Him to take away his existance We cant be the judge & jury I believe there is more There is no stronger belief i have That this is true I know there is peace in Chris Now His inspiration is boundless now I still don't understand why? in my earthly body but i reckon my Soul knows extremely well 🕊

1:28 - That has to be exactly what we all do when we watch Chris. Music hasn't recovered since 5/18/17. Time is a painful reminder that he's still not here with us. The heartbreaking, and tragic way he left has made me think differently about life and existence...I cherish the pictures i took along with the awesome memories of a killer Soundgarden concert i went to in 2012 in Atlanta, GA! (I was close to the front like 4 ppl back, and i will never forget we made eye contact for like a brief second, i remember it vividly! I was just as big of a fan back then and i'll never forget that little fanboy moment lol!! Also, I love that everyone of us shares like a perceptive unity. Which is comforting to know that he will NEVER be forgotten, and neither will this timeless music!

Ruth Alhambra I so agree with everything you said and feel. I'm crying with you, honey. I just don't want to believe he's gone. What a beautiful, God given voiced man, inside and out. Whenever he talked I just loved him more. Whenever he sang, I would say to myself, my GOD, he has the best voice in rock'n roll. I really can't wait to get to Heaven. Can you even imagine what the jam sessions would sound like with all our fabulous musicians up there playing and singing together? OMG!

Chris Cornell is an underrated member of this movement and there are several reasons for this, among them: He was the pathfinder of Grunge SOUNDGARDEN was the first band to have a signature and to sort of authenticate this term grunge that didn't even exist before. He formed TEMPLE OF THE DOG which was a tribute to Andy (another underrated grunge band due to his early death) and with Eddie Vedder, which after this band, allowed the formation of Pearl Jam. And perhaps the most underrated reason of all is that Nirvana put grunge on the rise from SEATLLE but there were bands with better and much richer content than them. Cornell was more poetic than the Beatles, heavier than Black Sabbah and with a vocal timbre compared to Freddie Mercury. He was a musician with a combination of excellent vocal, melodic and artistic quality. NO ONS SINGS LIKE YOU ANYMORE.

"there were bands with better and much richer content than them" LOL that certainly why CC wore a Nirvana T-Shirt wayyy before they were famous and having absolutely no personal ties with any member of the band : go check what CC thinks of Nirvana but it is a common theme with some people nowadays and especially AIC diehards that Nirvana being the most recognizable and acknowledged band is considered overrated and KC is a mere junkie devoided of any kind of talent blablabla...come on...it is pointless debate to rank Seattle bands, the Seattle Big Four is awesome nuff said

Chris could take guitar and vocals to a whole new place. Sad to lose him so young.
One of the greatest voices in my lifetime 🙏
What is so amazing about this is his band members watching the intro as if they are not band members, but Fans. These guys are all top notch musicians but yet they watched Chris as if they were so fortunate to not only share the stage with him but to have the best seat in the house. The best compliment you could ever get is the respect from your peers.

News of his death is the worst birthday present I've ever gotten. I go on a SG/AS kick a couple times a year. Usually around my birthday in may 18th and listen, watch the magic Chris Cornell gave us with his outstanding talent.
I just wish we could all go back in time and somehow change this tragedy, I wish we could have told him SOMETHING that would have changed the outcome. I know that sounds crazy But his passing has really affected me and SO many others. RIP Chris...You will never be forgotten.

What you just said is so touching and true. Chris had the gift of making everybody love him and wish to protect him. So humble in his absolute greatness, like only a real artist can be.

Same here ... Chris is giving me strength through his music to deal with and give advice to some of my adult Childern that are going through tough times right now.. he is always with us, helping us through.. even after his death.. He still and will always live in my heart till the day I also die.. then maybe in the after life I will see him in Concert if he is still doing that sort of thing. I have high hopes of meeting him sometime on the other side. Rest In Peace Chris.

OMG!

In the early days of twitter before it became a hate-fest I was lucky enough to exchange tweets with Chris Cornell on two occasions. The first time I saw him tweet really late at night and I asked him why he was still up (never expected a reply) he told me he had insomnia :( My favourite rock artist.
love you Crish, nobody sings like you anymore
That bead of sweat coming down his face... omg... miss you, CHris.
The way they all look at each other is that “ how the f is he doing that?” From the way they look at Chris and the way Chris looks at Tom during the solo. All of these dudes just sweating profusely and giving it their all. I love it.

Fantastic performance
One of the best vocals in rock history, gets you in the soul.

Lol relax man. He's one of the best vocalists ever but more poetic than the Beatles, and heavier than sabbath? Wtf. And bands much better than Nirvana? No
This is the best performance of my favorite Audioslave song. Chris, Tom, and the guys crushed it in a delicate and precise, yet simultaneously forceful way.

Pearls and swine bereft of me Long and weary my road has been I was lost in the cities Alone in the hills No sorrow or pity for leaving I feel I am not your rolling wheels I am the highway I am not your carpet ride I am the sky Friends and liars don't wait for me I'll get on all by myself I put millions of miles Under my heels And still too close to you I feel I am not your rolling wheels I am the highway I am not your carpet ride I am the sky I am not your blowing wind I am the lightning I am not your autumn moon I am the night The night I am not your rolling wheels I am the highway I am not your carpet ride I am the sky I am not your blowing wind I am the lightning I am not your autumn moon I am the night The night Yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah

That's a real masterpiece of song...forever. RIP C.C.
I really wish I had discovered Chris while he was alive but still into Allman’s, Dead, and raising 3 babies. Came across Chris 2 years ago and from there I was in love. He has saved me from some dark times. I am 67 now and Chris has led me to Andrew, PJ, and many from the grunge era as it was referred to. I am described as obsessed by some but I consider it reborn to an era I missed. One is never too old to discover great music and musicians. Thank you for this and to all who post videos for me to watch. ❤️
