That's the judge or the prosecutor. Their jobs are making sure the court runs smoothly so that the scumbag can't win on appeal. If Nasser can prove he didn't get a fair trial the courts can reverse the verdict on appeal. Believe it or not that person was on the same side as the father which is why she was trying to make sure that Nasser got a fair trial that he couldn't appeal. Fair trial will lead to a fair punishment. Lust for vengeance might get Nasser off. So she's totally right here.

There have even been lawsuits over the violated rights where police officers, prosecutors, etc were sued because they did violate that right. It was the principal at my school, he got caught at the time for doing it to other girls and only got house arrest and probation. My parents asked me when that was going on if he touched me but I was too afraid to say anything. He went to our church and was everywhere. Luckily not after conviction. But the night I told my dad when I was 25, he said that he went home and had loaded his gun, because the man still lives in our community. I’m so glad he didn’t act on it, I want my dad to be free and not feel guilty.
