@@nickk3077 Some people buy the same game for different consoles/ports all the time. I'm also pretty sure he/she's going to buy it since the switch will most likely have a better processing system. WiiU is also dead so I think people would rather have the game on a more relevant console. It's not a crazy concept if you think about it lol

Now Xenoblade X, Yoshi Wolly World, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Star Fox Zero, and the Wind Waker/Twilight Princess remasters are the only exclusives left on Wii U. There's also Devil Third and Game & Wario, but I don't know anyone who cares about those games.

"Available this year", let's be real here, it will be a halloween release, just like it released on WiiU.

I think the "Photo mode" is the feature that is available in most recent games which you can move freely to view the environment and make the character do certain poses, so you can take screenshots then share it on social media or save it in your system storage.

It's sad because, as you can see in the trailer the switch hardware wont do justice to this absolute jewel of a game. It won't permit simultaneous use of the tv screen and the switch just like in the Emulated version, you gotta switch between them... Which is a shame because one of the best things of this game is seeing the ghosts in the wiiu pad only as if it was a camera: you dont see them on the Tv screen where you see your character too, you see them on the wiiupad as if it was a real camera obscura in first person (both Wiiu Pad and TV are used simultaneously on wii U unlike thee Switch) It's the key to immersion on this game. TRust me, I got a wiiu just for this jewel of a game and it's TOTALY worth it if you like horror/survival games.

Finally, I hope a collection comes out as well. I love this series huge huge fan here. 😎😎😎

Please release it both uncensored and physically!!

I hope they include the Nintendo costumes alongside the bikini thing. The Zero Suit Samus costume was kind of cool, censorship aside. That said, some people said the bikini-lingerie costumes made the game less scary. I disagree... it's one thing to be afraid, but it's another thing to be NAKED & afraid, you know what I mean? I feel like the alt costumes showing so much skin added a little bit of vulnerability, and with that, potentially more fright. Just an opinion though, feel free to disagree I guess, idk

@@randomgamer-st1ie Yep and it was so dumb because it took up 16GB of storage and the max storage on the highest amount of GB offered stock was 21GB after all the software for the console. SO Nintendo basically expected you to either delete all your games or buy more memory externally.

According to what I have investigated, it will not come out in physical format, since Nintendo will not be the distributor this time, but only gave the consent of the IP. therefore it will appear in other systems and not only in nintendo; being a case very similar to Wonderful 101. In short, Koei Tecmo is doing both as a developer and as a distributor and to save expenses it will only be digital and for various platforms. Of course, this is only my speculation since there is no official confirmation. PTT: if this port is supported enough, even if it is digital. It is possible that the FF saga will return with a new game.

I was in Walmart when i saw this I shouted YESSS and I don’t care been waiting for any sort of fatal frame port at this point I wish they remaster the first three too dang nintendo you naughty boy you hahaha.

Also, the US release was Digital only while Japan and Europe had physical releases. I have a feeling this game on Switch in the US will be Digital only and censored but I hope and pray that I’m wrong because I don’t like being right. Fingers crossed.

This is one game I actually want to get on Switch despite having a Wii U, simply because I lack memory for it, I REALLY hope they give it a physical release this time

Since Zelda WW & Zelda TP are no brainer since why wouldn’t Nintendo bring those over. Yeah, your about right, Xenoblade X is the only REAL game left to bring to the switch, wouldn’t be surprised if the game was a (and you know where I’m getting at) switch Pro/New switch exclusive. They did it for the first game on NN3DS...and Nintendo usually never learns to some of their mistakes in this instance.

As someone who owns all the PS2 releases of this franchise, I really thought this franchise was dead. I am pleasantly surprised they are bringing it back and I guess it's probably due to the rising interest in horror games the last little while. Now more people will get to experience this gem! Hopefully Nintendo can continue releasing and bringing back IP's from the dark (and release them in an uncensored state).

Fatal Frame 5 lives again. Sad to see Wii U lose one of the last good exclusives, but really happy that the series lives again on Switch. Hopefully this trust in the series means that Nintendo will fund a sixth game in the future.

Super psyched for this. I imported the European Collector's Edition just to have it physical. Therefore, please, please, please release this physically. Oh and why not bring I-IV with a fresh coat of paint.

I never played this and have always wanted to. Please let it be physical though. I am so tired of digital.

It's most likely digital only, if Koei Tecmo didn't bother to make a physical version of Ninja Gaiden Master Collection (A series that sold millions during its prime.), then there's no chance with FF. FF has always been niche.

They should let install the digital copy from the physical one. It should be an added bonus for those who pay extra.

Hopefully this gets a physical release. Don’t let us down Nintendo/ Koenig Tecmo.

I was kind of hoping they'd release all Fatal Frame games on the switch. Or bring the 4th game over to the west. Maybe if this does well they might think about it. I sure hope so.

YES! This game needs more attention. The Wii U gamepad used as a camera was genius. Pretty much what people hoped for in the New Pokemon Snap.

Fatal Frame just feels like such a great fit for the Switch, bring them all over

I heard this game is going multiplat this time around, which is strange since, if I recall correctly, Nintendo now should own the rights of this franchise. Maybe it's another "Wonderful 101" situation, with Nintendo letting the original owners do whatever? I hope not, cause this was probably one of the very very few horror ips from Nintendo. Anyway I'm happy to see this ported over, hoping for a physical uncensored release.

The game still as Nintendo copyright on it. They probably let Koei publish the game on other platforms to recoup cost and to publish it on their own. For the switch version, they still have Nintendo’s copyright. Unlike wonderful 101, that the switch version didn’t mentioned Nintendo in the copyright. Fatal frame does as shown in Koei’s and Nintendo’s website. So it seems it still a Nintendo ip

i wonder if they will keep in the localizations with the age changes and i think there was some outfit changes as well. would love to see that they allow for japanese voices with english subtitles as well

That is awesome! I was wondering about this a few months ago and what had happened to the franchise. The wii u game from the franchise was great. Love it.

So when are we getting the rest of the series! Time for Nintendo to start showing this game series the love it deserves out here in the west!

I already own a physical copy for the WiiU, but def gonna buy it for my Switch, too. Hope they realize that the series is still wanted. I won't give up hope for a new game T_T
