Now THIS looks like the Mario Party I wanted. The only complaint I have is I still feel like there aren't enough boards, I really wish we could get more than 5. But at least it's one more than Super Mario Party, and they're classic boards, AMD they're actually BIG boards. Release more N64 boards in future updates perhaps? At that point I think we have ourselves a winner here.

If this happens, then we are just seeing live service at this point, and knowing from what we saw with games like The Sims, it shows even DLC can be a disgusting way to make a profit. If they do DLC, I hope they do Board Packs. Maybe 2 or 3 boards for like no more than $10USD a piece. Btw, they only said 5 from the N64 Era. There could be more, but I won't hold my breath.

What wrong with Star Rush? It’s basically Tactical Mario Party where you recruit allies to take on bosses! And considering that they made it so that everyone moves at once, (which will happen again in Mario Golf Super Rush) it can’t be that bad, can it?

You can tell from the Treehouse where they play Space Land they aren't unfortunately. Tbf they would have to design new costumes for the non-MP2 boards, but they definitely added to the experience.

Apparently Mario Party 2 is the only MP game where your character dress up corresponding to stage theme except the last board. Kinda sad this amazing feature didn't added to other future MP games.

I was really excited about this game, but it seems like Bowser is not a playable character. I really loved and enjoyed super Mario l, it was so awesome Bowser was a playable just like everyone else. I will sadly not be getting this game. Bowser is my all time favorite out of all other characters. Come on Bintendo please let Bowser be playable. I was really excited when I seen the trailer. I was just like oh look a new Mario party. It seems like Bowser is not playable especially since I seen the Bowser space, and I am no longer excited. I wish Bowaer could always be part of everything like everyone else. I wish Bowser could get his own series too, but Inknow that’s probably not going to happen. Oh well it’s not the end of the world it just really blows. 😔😭

Seriously, this is what they should have been doing in the first place, its so weird that now they're finally doing Mario Party right, with an All-Stars Greatest hits approach. What's also really funny about what this direction presents is that its shutting up all the people that have been saying "classic Mario Party can't return cuz Hudson owns Mario Party game design mechanics or whatever" and "online mode in classic style Mario Party board game modes would never work, so Nintendo shouldn't ever add them in!" and here Nintendo is all like, " here's classic Mario Party gameplay, with classic boards and minigames and online gameplay for all modes" lmao I'm hoping more Mario Party N64 and GameCube boards and minigames are added in the form of DLC, considering they do it with Smash, Mario Kart and Mario Tennis, its so weird that they never have with the Mario Party franchise, especially considering how well the game sell.

This is such a gratifying release. After trying to innovate and make things shiny to get people interested they finally realized that they had the formula right at the beginning. Seeing the dice blocks go up to 10 immediately just feels right. I hope the items and other elements of the old games come back. Now I can forget about Super Mario Party. Thank goodness.

Only 9 playable characters have been confirmed so far (Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Wario, Donkey Kong, Waluigi, Birdo and Rosalina) so I’m guessing they will either match Super Mario Party’s number (20) or go even higher. Daisy and Bowser are certs for the playables, so Pauline could definitely be there too.

@@lmfaoitsjoeyy Yeah I know. But it was the first time he was actually playable as a character and since these games are a remake of MP 1-3 where Bowser was the main antagonist, it just wouldn't make much sense.

I legitimately nearly cried when I first saw this in the Direct. Mario Party, especially the N64 games, are a big part of my life.

I the gameplay of MP6 was the best. Making blue and red spaces into item and trap spaces definitely made way for cool strats.

Finally, a Mario Party like the original N64 ones I grew up with!

Yes! Mario party 2 had the best boards, 4 the best minygames, and 6/7 the best board mechanics. just combine those 3 and add online multiplayer plus battle bode and boom easily the best in the series

just play the N64 version on emulator, it's abandonware so there is no reason to wait to play the Switch game just because of these boards you have never played.

@Filippo Contigiani yea I think you might be right I gave up on this franchise but willing to try one more time Mario party is fun they Just gotta do it right.

The animations look really good! I don’t know if they itself changed but there are definitely a few more FPS in there. I hope there is also a cute overworld and short story Just like in Super Mario Party.

Wow Nintendo is giving us the goods. I would say that the older Mario party games were definitely the best ones. I am actually really excited about this. The boards do seem a bit smaller but the new HD graphics look amazing.

No. The haunted land was the best! Especially when you had that key to get to to the big boo that only activated at night and you had your 150 coins!

I'm actually keen for this. Also, BIRDO WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN 😭

The fact that Daisy is completely absent here makes me wonder if the 9 characters that are shown here will be the only ones to be playable :o

I am amusing the roster is all the characters from the 64 games with Rosalina and Birdo as a bonus, which means Daisy would be here. Would be silly for them to at least not all the characters from the games they're remastering.

I thought I heard from someone that she was there so there's that. Plus, it doesn't make sense to have the main roster be an odd number of characters to choose from (unless they did in previous games and I don't remember).

Nintendo's 100th anniversary was after the finale of the Disney Renaissance three decades ago. Universal Studios Japan was the first place to debut Super Nintendo World. When that possible upcoming computer-animated Mario movie is released, Super Nintendo World might debut in both American Universal Theme Parks.

My only hope for this game is that they add some of the other boards in the future. Maybe even include some boards from the GameCube games

I may just have to get this to play with randoms online. Never used online yet

@@88lilies I'm not counting on it since they specifically said in the reveal that there'd be 5 boards from the n64 era. I know it doesn't mean it has no other boards but judging from the last game, which I believe only has 4 boards, it doesn't sound very likely.

I'm happy that we're getting returning boards, but WHY do they keep putting in so few of them? There have always been a bare minimum of 6 boards.

They havent advertised a Bowser board. Each full fledged MP game always has a Bowser board. So assume there is a 6th board but they dont want to spoil it.

@@Daigon95 Maybe Bowser board is lock and the only way you can unlock Bowser board is complete the story mode just like the previous past games. I wonder if they do decided to add Bowser board, which Bowser board from Nintendo 64 they will pick? My guess is Bowser Land from Mario Party 2.

Dude, the reason they do this is so people don't have to got back to the direct and find the trailer. They can instantly just go to Nintendo's KZread channel, find the video and watch the trailer at ease. Your just complaining because you don't have good content.
