I completely agree. Personally, I thought that was actually a pretty horrible noise. Being able to play something really fast doesn't mean that you are playing it well. This is a perfect example of that. There are a lot of truly great violinists in the world who have a great deal less in the way of ego. The true greats are there to service the music, not to inflate their own egos.

When I first saw this in 2014 I was quite amazed because I had only been playing for a bit over a year. Now that I’m looking back at it, man he just straight up missed every note and it sounded horrible even though he’s on an electric instrument. Also, is no one gonna mention how this instrument has 5 strings? It deserves to burn

Music is not about the fast you can go its about the feeling you have
“Flight of the Bumblebee”, more like “Sight of the Mosquito”
He does not deserve the world record. 1 - it's not a violin, it has 5 strings 2 - it's electric, this eliminates many of the requirements in playing a violin 3 - almost none of the notes are accurate or in tune or rythm, thus he never achieved jack

Guys, I know it's a meme and what not but did you know some guitars having 7+ strings doesn't negate which instrument it is. Just saying...
I love how the majority of people in this comments section came from TwoSet to roast this guy lol. But seriously, he clearly thinks very highly of himself and is pretty arrogant. Which is not a good mentality to have as a musician or performing artist. I'm disappointed that he's being given this platform and being praised by the BBC as it' stunting his artistic growth.

Violin definition: a stringed musical instrument of treble pitch, played with horse hair now. The classical violin was developed in the 16 century. It has four strings and a body of characteristics rounded shape, narrowed at the middle and with two f shaped sound holes. That violin has five strings
He's a trick 'violinist' for variety and circus performances.

everything about his performance
His notes are muddy, he skips alot of notes, there is no separation between notes, etc. Also, electric violins are way easier to play than a real violin and should not be compared to real violins. And is that even a violin? It has 5 strings!
@glanknightfalcon4246
5 жыл бұрын
If you count the shifts in this video (at 0.25 speed) I believe he skips 4 notes per shift. Near the end of the video, he does 3 of those shifts, so that means he skipped 12 notes in total.
@lailafie8259
