A pure reminder how advanced Germany was with aircraft designs in WW2. No one else was pushing the envelope like the Germans were.

The ME163 was operationally useless. “Pushing the envelope” is pointless if you create aircraft that don’t work & kill the pilots.

Where is this guys these type of planes making or buying 🤩🤩

You can see how fast they are. The original were too. Even so that the speed and to very limited flight time made them have little practical use. They were also very accident prone. Bursting fuel lines killed a lot of pilots. The rocket fuel literally liquefying them.

Never thought of the Komet as aerobatic, but- wow. Must be a pitch-down moment when you lower flaps and compensate with ailerons? Some interesting control laws, I reckon.

incredible flying, and I don't want to even think how many G's they are pulling in those turns 😲 ME 163 had very good flying qualities, being even more remarkable for a tailless aircraft , but the fuel was another matter 😑

If ever there was an ideal model to use head-tracking FPV in,.... :D Dead stick should be the only way to land these. Imagine being tail gunner in a lumbering bomber and seeing a 163 pull a high G turn on to you.....

With the simple elegant design looks like a tremendous amount of fuel could be stored beneath that skin and this thing could fly for a hundred miles or maybe hundreds!!!

a very innovative design, if only the 3rd Reich had possessed further communications this could have been a break through design to something special, but in that they were championing a lost cause of fascism, better it ended like it did. They look very maneuverable. Wouldn't have been better if the Germans had put jet turbines in them instead of rocket engines? Maybe they hadn't a powerful single jet engine at that time...

High speed is cool, but how cool is it that when you have made a three second pass in one direction, the model is so far away that all you can do is to turn around and make a three second pass in the opposite direction?😮

What is the crusing speed? Is this a kit?

Birds fall from the window ledge above mine, then they flap their wings at the last second. If I don't get up and walk across the room, I won't see their last second curve toward a horizontal flight.

Imagine how much challenge, to try to shoot down, as one whips past just above the trees.

B17 bomber crews had the fright of their lives when these things came screaming down at them like a bat out of hell. Nazi Germany was a hotbed of high tech stuff but these things came too late too little to stop the tide of war. Interesting that these models are turbine. Cant see the air inlets.

And if they explode on landing its just following scale flight.

I understand the flying qualities of the real thing were very good. Why some rich guy has not put a tandam seating arrangement in a full size aircraft as well as a 4k lb thrust jet engine is beyond me. Certainly the internal volume of the fuselage would fit this as well as real landing gear. I'd do if I was rich!!!
