My Mom would tease me with my Dad how I like visiting cemeteries then when her Mother passed away and I went with her to my Grandmother’s gravesite, we found a bench sat and talked for hours. It was a beautiful day and time flew by as we just sat and talked. She came home and told my Dad, “Your daughter really likes visiting cemeteries. We talked for hours and then she started walking around looking at the head stones. I was surprised to see how much she enjoyed looking at and reading the head stones I looked at my Dad and said, “It’s quiet, peaceful, and I enjoy looking at people’s final resting places. It’s fascinating to me to see a person’s name, their date of birth/end date, sometimes see their occupation and some people’s final resting spots their tombs are amazing architecture and again…It’s Peaceful!” My Dad said, “I get it. Next time, I will go with you, so i don’t have to hear your Mother.” I laughed and said, “Yes, it is quiet and peaceful 🤣 Chicago South Side is full of cemeteries 👍.
RIP To All that Have passed away since .🍁🍁

Cemetery -empty? NO! Not empty.
Outstanding. I'd been hoping for ya to stop by here! When I first saw the O'Brien plot with the head Igot startled. The lake being so close gives a haunting yet calming vibes. I visit here multiple times a year.

Boy you really get around the States from all I have seen, you were just at Inglewood Park, a day or two ago, and I am glad to have subscribed. Thank you for the tour.
Thank you for another interesting video. I love cemeteries and only live a couple hours away from there.I'm going to have to go see that cemetery soon.
The second apartment I ever rented in my life, back in the late 80's, was on Eastlake Terrace, in Chicago, which is the first north-south street one can enter in Chicago, traveling southbound on Sheridan Road, which is the major thoroughfare paralleling Lake Michigan on the east side of Calvary Cemetery. I lived three apartment buildings from this cemetery for four years, walking by it on foot, riding by it in a car or "L" car (from the CTA's Purple Line, one can get a clear view of the cemetery), or jogging by it during my daily exercise run, on the alley that parallels the entire north side of it in Evanston, countless times, yet I never once set foot in it. Juneway Terrace, which is the most northern street in Chicago (7800 North) has an alley that runs the entire length of Calvary Cemetery on its south border. I recall there was a wall separating the cemetery from the alley. The one thing that sticks out in my mind about Calvary Cemetery, having lived so close to for so long, was that the gateway into it off of Sheridan Road, was a location Evanston Police would often set a squad car and catch drivers exceeding the posted speed limit. When they were there, it was common to see them issue several citations in a brief period of time. If you were a local driver, you knew to closely obey the posted speed limit when traveling on Sheridan in front of Calvary Cemetery.
Cool video. You should do another trip to CA and make new videos on the famous cemeteries there!

Thank you very much and that would be nice to check out some of the history you have over there
Thanks for doing this again and sharing with all of us. That Joseph Lyon one is beautiful I think. Very lovely piece of art. I wonder if they put that capsul around the Joseph Lyon boy to preserve it? I am a yard statue person and some of my statues are falling apart on the bottom and my sister told me I have to put a coat of sealer on them every year to preserve them (I guess from the elements) which I did not know. I have always gone to cemetaries also and find them peaceful. Death is a part of life. I have had lunches at cemetaries and just sat to think. Hope you have a wonderful 4th of July weekend.
