*In the context of Korean scientists growing clean vegetables, you are probably referring to advances in agricultural technology and practices that aim to produce safe and high-quality vegetables. This can involve techniques such as hydroponics, vertical farming, precision agriculture and controlled environment agriculture, all of which integrate scientific knowledge to optimize growing conditions. of crops and minimizing the use of pesticides and other chemicals. Great, excellent, wonderfull.*

Plants grow much faster (more than 2x faster) in a hydroponic system than on soil. Lettuce takes 2 to 3 weeks in that set-up. For example, full 16+ hour light can be provided in a daily basis instead of 12. Also temperature can be controlled. Just a fun fact. Higher temperature slows plant growth. Optimal temperature for growth is below 30 Celsius or below 80 F.

This is a brilliant video. Takes you through each step of the process in a logical flowing way. As for the science involved this is the way of the future. Optimal growing conditions in a temperature, light, humidity and water controlled environment ensure consistent quality and yield. And importantly this is pesticide free. As the world population grows this type of efficient vertical farming will become more and more necessary.

Everything u said is spot on.However,I always disagree abt the link population growth has on our food shortage.Overconsumption and wastage is the main factor that needs to be dealt with.Easier said than done,so I guess producing more seems to be the easier solution for now

@@shawndj1369 Reducing waste is actually quite hard to do. Compared to two - three decades ago , we have already done a lot in regards to transportation and storage. There can still be improvements in the region but nothing too ground breaking. The only major difference can be done in a more optimized diet. Focus more on eating more efficient to grow plants and cut back on "luxury" eating. Both things aren't something that we can easily do at the moment. So in the end it is indeed easier to just grow more and more efficient.
