FarmHouse TV Stand - DIY (Part 1)

Фильм және анимация

My Mother - in - law needed a new tv stand to match her in TV. The old TV stand was a little out dated but she loved because it held her portable fireplace that was a must during the winter time.
So we put a plan together to build her a custom TV stand she that she would love. It's an easy DIY build, this is how I did it.

Furniture /cabinet maker Pro tip: I would've installed the front / back top 2*2' rails (long, Un broken) in one piece and notched the front / back tops of the 2 partition panels, around the 2*2 rails. You'll also find the layout between the panels, will be much easier that way too. As opposed to braking up the top rails and having to account for the thickness if the partition panels. Once you've notched your panels over the rails, you can then slide the panels, left or right to determine the panel spacing you like and then, permanently fasten them in place. Great job through.

This video is perfect timing. My wife really wants a TV Console like this one, except I have to make it about 8 feet.

For the main shell, did you use 1/2” or 3/4” plywood?

I get all my plywood from Home Depot. I'll use sanded or maple if I am going to paint it.

@@coreysworkshop6421 is maple your run of the mill plywood, or is it a pretty expensive species? I’m in Australia so we use different species’.

@@ReaperXC in North America maple is on the higher side for plywood...its usually pine or spruce which is cheaper
