    Pretty sweet, nice work. But I have a dumb question about the planer. Why not just cut them down to that size to start with? Instead of making them 2x2 to start with but then taking them down further with the planer. I don’t have one so curious how smooth it makes them, since you were sanding it down more later.

  • @coreysworkshop6421
    @coreysworkshop64215 ай бұрын

    It was my first time using the planer, so I may have over did it on the 2x2’s and just made it work. As for planing the top it would be as smooth as using 100 maybe 120 grit sand paper. I like sand up to 220 if I am going to stain something.

    I agree with Michael Baur. Excellent video. The filming, editing and music was made with surgical precision. Your work is of the highest quality and it was great to not waste time hearing non-humorous humor or a lengthy explanation on how to spread glue.

    Sadly, off trend because it doesn’t keep moisture, smells or sound in as well as original doors. And it takes up too much space for the slide.

    Furniture /cabinet maker Pro tip: I would've installed the front / back top 2*2' rails (long, Un broken) in one piece and notched the front / back tops of the 2 partition panels, around the 2*2 rails. You'll also find the layout between the panels, will be much easier that way too. As opposed to braking up the top rails and having to account for the thickness if the partition panels. Once you've notched your panels over the rails, you can then slide the panels, left or right to determine the panel spacing you like and then, permanently fasten them in place. Great job through.
