FAR SIDE CRADLE BY CHAEL SONNEN//
In this Wrestling Moves video, Chael Sonnen demonstrates the Far Side Cradle technique.
Chael Sonnen began his legendary MMA career on the wrestling mats in West Linn, learning how to move his body and work against opponents. From there, he graduated to the University of Oregon and became an All-American for the Ducks, before winning a University world medal and an Olympic alternate spot at the Senior level in Greco Roman. Chael’s wrestling knowledge propelled him in MMA to huge wins over world champions like Rampage Jackson, Michael Bisping, Wanderlei Silva, Brian Stann, and Shogun Rua and he has stayed active, engaged, and involved with the sport as a coach and fan the whole way. Now you can benefit from decades of experience and level up your far side cradle with that guided help. Get to work on top and start turning and pinning with the far side cradle with Chael's help!
Wrestling Fanatics was started by a pair of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belts, Michael Zenga and Bernardo Faria who have a passion for all things grappling.
They feel that nothing is more important than improving your Wrestling skills as much as possible in the least amount of time. Their aim was to create a shop for Wrestling Students who don’t look at Wrestling as a sport - but as a lifestyle.

I dont understand why people don't use cradles in MMA? Cradles are some of the best ways to break your opponent's will and cardio! Nothing like being out if breath, then put in a uncomfortable position, where your body scrunched up and it makes even harder to breathe or recover.

I think most would just rather finish the fight with ground and pound if someone turtles . Or just get the hooks in to secure the back take, or even better body triangle!

because they take alot of strength, they can blow you arms out, with a much taller guy it can be hard, how long can you hold it before you get stood up or wear out ?

Because u can't strike while holding your opponent in a cradle and u can't submit your opponent in a cradle. Cradle in a fight is basically just a clinch on the ground its basically stalling

I was training this a few months ago in BJJ its great to go straight from a take down into the cradle such a strong position would be great for MMA and can be used to really dominantly pass guard without leaving any gaps to escape. Thanks for the vid :)

You were essentially wrestling at your gym. It's good to add these tools to other grappling arts.

I dont wrestle in the sport but I use this for my Jiu Jitsu. Cradles are a game changer for jiu jitsu. I immobilize and smash guys all the time. Great video, lots of details. Big detail I got is I need to cross face from the turtle more and grab the tricep. Big lever of the spine.

A good thing you could do for the outer leg 🦵 cradle is that after securing 🔒the grip, you could jump over , and from there, you bump with your hips , and you get him down on his back easier.

I have cradled so many drunk idiots in my life. I just cradle them and say calm down buddy or were just gonna rock you like a little baby and embarrass you until you calm down. Easiest thing in the world to put someone in that doesn't know what their doing
