Crazy how Far Cry dropped one of the most beautiful and inspired settings for an open world game 10 years ago and like no AAA game has gone back to the lower Himalayas yet

Well, the main reason why AAA games haven’t come back to the Himalayas is mainly because the countries situated here (i.e. China), more specifically, their governments, are rather unfriendly here.

@@epj0211 Skull & Bones rightfully deserves its knocks but Boat Stamina(tm) has been a thing in Ubisoft Games for years now. If you wanna get technical, even as far back as Assassins Creed: Black Flag the boats had a 'sprint' function.

9:35 like the pkm chambering round/cocking sound? ancient Hollywood edge premiere edition ar reload sound mixed in there.

One of my favorite things about far cry is the burst fire mode mechanic. You can hold it for the full burst or let it go earlier for one or two shots.

FC3 and 4 are the first game with the ADS reload.

Yeah. Whenever I watch Far cry 4 videos with earbuds on, I can't get enough of the punchy feeling I get inside my ear with every bullet fired.

5’s signatures were literally just unique paint jobs, don’t get me wrong some of them are stunning to look at like the American flag skin on the AR-C and the D2 sin eater you get for defeating Faith, they don’t change the statistics or performance of the guns. Now far cry 6 signatures are so terrible, I’d rather just go around punching my enemies. Not much else to say honestly.

This game still looks amazing to this day

Sucks the arsenal was basically just FC3 with little extra. The setting could offer everything from martini henry's to nigh infinite amount of chinese warlord era guns. Missed opportunity imo.

Replayed it recently, still holds up quite well. Also runs very good now that we brute force with hardware. Too bad far cry 3 will always run like shit though 😢.

The Far Cry series has some of my favorite maps in open world games like Hope County or Yara.

It always bugged me how the ejection port and charging handle are on the correct side (right) for most of the guns, but for some inexplicable reason it's on the left side for some guns (SPAS-12, M-14 for example).

I replayed the intire video just to see what you wrote about the weapons. Because i didn't see it until the last 10 weapons.

1:06 I think that M-712 is capable to fire in bursts, it literally was full-auto C96!! I may be wrong.

What is a flare gun for?

This game is already 10 years old. It hasn't gotten old yet.

I loved this game but I have one minor complaint, I personally don't care for the reload sounds. They have this weird muffled sound, like they're not crisp enough.

Why are all the reload sounds so compressed?

This setting is an all time masterpiece

I just bought this game and it requires 56+ GB of disk space. Does anyone know if that's the total that the game is going to use or it's just for installation purposes? (I.e. use 56 but then reduce to a smaller size after installation is complete) Thanks in advance.

Really beautiful game! Also looks too damn good for the 10 years old game, like BF4. Sucks my laptop is weak, as FC4 on lowest barely runs at 20 fps, with drops to 12.

Yea, you can do ADS RLD with one of the skills.

i cant play any other far cry cause they dont have the perfection of a gun named buzzsaw. its soo great! kills almost all enemies 1 shot!!! wich is what its meant to be!!!

Hoping they take notes from older games if they do make fc7. It's so sad to me that fc6 was just new dawn's more rpg style and weapon damage styles and elements ported over to a new game, with a new paintjob. New dawn was cool I just wished those elements stayed out of fc6. However, Fc6 was still cool as hell! I loved the story but fc4 will be my all time favorite. I doubt Ubi will go back to their roots though.
