It's wild how different review units are vs retail in terms of pedal travel. Mine has around 1cm max travel and I feel like I'm about to snap the pedal to even reach that. It's tough to modulate with so little travel.

  • @KarlGosling

Mine is also very hard mate, I'm applying a lot of force in this video.... some people actually find it easier to modulate pressure based rather than travel, thats kind of how LC pedals are designed, take a look at the Asetek ones for example.

Another thing I wondered is if the software adjustments have been updated from the old elites. I have the old elites and they're descent pedals but I found the software somewhat lacking. You can only adjust the load cell pressure in increments of 10. In comparison the T-LCM's I picked can be adjusted from 1 - 100, dead zones, and full range brake force adjustability

I must ask though if you by any chance compared the 'two clutch pedals' so the original 'clutch kit' with the break without the sponge 'clutch'? Also as I side not if I already have the CSL pedals do you think its worth buying the load cell kit not to tide me over to an eventually getting V3s or just wait and get V3s( iv since convinced myself I to getting V3s during the wait for thr CSL loadcell)

I got a new one for you. I never sim raced anything and looked at numerous KZread reviews so I ordered the Logitech G920 think oh I will save a few bucks and could not see myself paying for Fanatec nothing. Well after using the Logitech for a few days after downloading ACC I was like wow what would it be using Fanatec I bet GREAT. The G920 is alright but I felt something was missing and yep I just ordered today the CSL 3 Pedal Kit. I still am suprised at myself and I am not rich by any means but off to the rabbit hole I go. I will buy the Mclaren GT3 V2 Wheel next cause I think it going to be gone soon to low of a price for Fantec to keep selling all the time. Once I can afford to get everything I will be listing the Logitech 920 on Ebay to try and recoup some money back. Plus do not get me started since I purchased a Logitech shifter and mount locally, Playseat Challenge from Ireland, stability aftermarket kit for the Playseat from England however, I live in the USA. The topper is I brought a MVH Studios F1 Wheel which is going to be mailed to me in about a week. The pain I feel is real right now.

I have the same one and there doesn't seem to be an option for additional fixation points towards the back of the pedal plate. Just the two holes in the front. Once again your review are almost tailored to my gaming needs lol. I have a particular situation. I recently bought a second hand TLCM pedal a week ago. Than just two days avoir, I bought a CSL DD kit that came with the CSL Pedals including the clutch. I left them in their box in case I decide to keep the TLCM and sell them. However, now that the load cell upgrade is released, I wonder if I should get it and sell the TLCM instead. What would be your thoughts? The TLCM have 90kg of force and these ones have 60. However everything else seems to favor the Fanatec. How different do you find the acceleration pedal between the two? Is the CSL one even lighter than the TLCM? It seems that on every other aspect the CSL are better then the TLCM. Am I mistaken?

I'm not Karl and I'm far from an expert, but I have been researching this a lot in the last little bit and it's important to note that the kg rating of the load cell isn't the force at the pedal. Particularly if you look at boosted media's hour long csl load cell video, they show how they can depress the tlcm 100kg load cell by hand but obviously with this csl 60kg one you can't From everything I've seen these pedals look very good and sturdy, hard to say what to do with you already having the tlcms though. Good luck in your decision!

I guess it is the plight of the sim racer, always looking for thr possibility of an even higher upgrade lol

@karl would be great if you could actually do a comparison in regards to the previous csl elite pedal set with load cell....I know the main difference is the switch from potentiometer to hall effect sensors but to my understanding its a longevity difference. The original version of the csl elite pedal set/ load cell was more expensive and had metal foot plates ( not removable) , the load cell was adjustable and max was 90kg , so the actual older version seem better though I only have the older and have not tried the newer version .

Since I heard about load cell brakepedals, I've tried to see if a brakepedal really works this way in a real car, cause I have never driven a car where the brakepedal gets stiff, and then you push more force into it? Since we lack the g-forces in simulators its hard to tell how much you are braking, so it would be awesome if we got some feedback from the pedal instead, like rumble when the ABS kicks in. But I am thinking I might be wrong, so I think to buy this one, since its the cheapest ive found :) but I actually have some loadcells laying around, and amplifiers for these, so I might throw something togheter with a usb-controller to see if I can make my own first.

Hi Tim, I guess you are referring to the auto calibration that the standard CSL Pedals need to do on each startup (i.e. you have to push through the full travel of each axis once to set the range). With the CSL Pedals Load Cell Kit, you are upgrading the entire electronics of the pedals, meaning that manual calibration of each axis is possible. These values are saved directly to the pedals internal memory, and therefore the pedal min and max values are immediately applied when you power up the base. This is an undervalued feature - when I switch back to standard CSL Pedals for testing I always forget about the required auto calibration and end up locking my brakes at the first corner :D
