And we know that shirk is an unforgivable sin in the sight of Allah (God) if one dies upon it and doesn’t repent sincerely and change their ways.

"All the og lodges in Asia and Africa were built by colonizers yet people still claim they are good" Some aspects of colonisation were bad. On the whole, colonisation was good. Ask Singapore, Indonesia, Malaya, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. They celebrate colonialisation. The United Arab Emirates didn't want their colonisers to leave. They had to be forced into independence. Be careful of falling into populist narratives that don't give all the information.

@@former9085 Read "Imperialism, the Highest Stage of Capitalism". Thanks to Operation Mockingbird, it's hardly a popular narrative. Claming the countries you listed celebrate colonialism is just crazy. Say it out loud in front of an Indonesian, I dare you. They are ones of the proudest people I know. In the case of Malaysia, did you ask the opinion of the descendents of the slaves of the colonizers that were imported into their lands because the locals absolutely refused to help the colonizers to rob themselves? Which is hilarious because the ex colonial countries are now crying about immigrants when they imported so many foreign labors to the lands they occupied forcing multiculturalism which they hate now. Singapore, Australia, Canada and New Zealand replaced the original population so of course, they love colonialism. Those who profit from colonialism love colonialism? Duh. Don't tell me you believe Australia, Canada, and New Zealand are originally European while Singapore is originally Northeastern Asian. Look at their locations on the map. Anyway start reading.

They published various articles refuting freemasonry after having been Freemasons for a long time. They saw it as a fraternity that at its lowest form is good but very anti Islamic and very dangerous to the world in the higher levels. They wrote many articles claiming that it was a ploy used by Jews to take over the world, which is now considered anti semitic. You can read their works online.

There are indeed too many misconceptions about Freemasonry. There are two main groups in Freemasonry: Regular Freemasonry (Anglo/American, which has the larger number of Freemasons and is typified by the United Grand Lodge of England) and Continental Freemasonry (typified by the Grand Orient de France and spread in the European continent, and predominates in Latin America and Africa). The latter is 'liberal' and admits even atheists. In fact, it is this group which has been historically connected to anticlericalism. The former however, Regular Freemasonry, does not recognize Continental Freemasons. In any case, Freemasonry is not elitist. It accepts people from all walks of life (janitors, students, managers, teachers, etc.). To accept a candidate they do make sure that the candidate is an honest person, of mature age, strict morals, without any criminal record. Freemasonry is a fraternity of men who do not discriminate based on religion or political leanings. In fact, it is forbidden to talk about religion or politics in the lodge to avoid fruitless discussions that may lead to division among members. It is precisely that inclusive character of Freemasonry that, since its origins (officially in 1717), created suspicions in some Christian churches that saw the fraternity as a threat to their authority, especially when Freemasonry started to attract people with social status and influence, intellectuals, artists, and in general many of the best men of European society. The truth is that today there are people from different religions and walks of life who are also part of the fraternity. I understand that that still makes some people uncomfortable. It is absurd though to think of Freemasonry as some sort of monolithic structure that dictates some kind of secret plan to dominate the world. Each lodge has its own activities (for example, to support some charitable institutions, or to organize a barbecue with your brothers and wives). As in every human society, be it a religious or political group, or even in a family, you will of course find people who may betray the principles that your group want to inculcate. If that happens that person will be separated from the lodge. Regarding women, there are today some lodges exclusive for them. I don't see however why there should it be a problem that we as men may want to have some exclusive spaces for friendship and some brotherly fun. Finally, about the 'secrets', Freemasonry indeed has secrets, but those secrets are almost exclusively related to ritual and modes of recognition. These permit strangers who share membership in the fraternity (in other lodges) to sit together in a lodge anywhere in the world and enjoy each other’s fellowship. About the rituals, it is actually funny to see how mad conspiracy theorists get when you explain to them that those rituals are allegories that convey moral teachings.

then there is 33rd degree Albert Pike, who wrote Morals and Dogma and praised Lucifer...Not to forget that George Washington warned about freemasonry being infiltrated by the Bavarian Illuminati for their own agenda...

That’s very true, and unfortunately the misconception will continue. I think current Islamic scholars have a lack of understanding regarding the topic. Like you said, freemasonry varies, and it’s not just the grand orient but also clandestine masons and offshoots. Unfortunately despite strict investigations on candidates, freemasonry still gets the crazy ones from time to time, whether regular or non regular. I think in Islamic circles the topic is taken from a more conspiratorial perspective and sources than it is from factual and no biased analysis.
