    I love how Yelena's face changes and how Natasha looks over at her in concern. Melina doesn't realize how it's affecting her but Natasha does

    Florence Pugh absolutely kills it in this scene. If you're too busy watching everything else that's happening you miss it. But you see Yelena go through every step of realization and hurt. From finding out that her family were the ones who provided Dreykov with the resources for mind control. That her own mother created the methods that she was victim to. Then the heartbreak as Natasha says it was all fake. She really goes through a whole breakdown before she actually speaks.

    To me this was actually one of "The best parts " of the movie where there is no action, just simple family reunion dinner like we all have on a sunday, its so difficult to do as there are no special effects or stunts in it. just simple face to face arguments that work and play on emotions. i love it!

    I love this whole scene. This scene showed their true identities yet also displayed that they still considered each other family. For Alexi to go “talk to her” once she left the room, he still views her as his child. And for their mom to be apologizing “I had no idea” also another aspect of a mom who unknowingly hurt their child’s feelings. Brilliant.

    He always thought he was helping them reach their full potential, and he was right in a way. Yelena became a child prodigy and the top of her field, carrying out missions that fit the ideology they all grew up with to perfection, and Natasha became an Avenger. He did it all out of love for them, not actually knowing what he was putting them through, but always watching them and their progress touring their time apart. He didn’t ask about them when he saw them again because he had been keeping tabs on them and their accomplishments and told them how proud he was of them. He loved his girls!

    This movie helps us understand that if Natasha had known about Peter Parker’s age in civil war she never would’ve approved of Tony Stark’s actions of bringing him to Germany because Stark did not give Peter a choice which shows how very immature Tony Stark really is

  • @CaseyCampbell24

    @CaseyCampbell24

    Ай бұрын

    You know come to think of it Natasha had every right to know about Peter cause if she did she would’ve taken him aside told him about what happened in 2014 which would’ve made it easy for Peter to understand the situation to understand that stark was just using him and would’ve told Peter about how her whole childhood was taken from her and Peter showing some compassion would understood completely and break off ties with Stark That makes it very easy for us to know that Stark is very manipulative is because Peter didn’t become Spider-Man in the MCU until 2015 which explains why Peter’s confused which means he didn’t know about what happened in Washington of 2014 but Michelle Jones probably would’ve she s a lot more smarter than she looks you know which is why Peter needs her in his life

  • @user-cc8fe3pe4p

    You’re aware that’s actually the point right? These aren’t your average family members, in fact they only spent three years with eachother before they were separated and Natasha and Yelena became victims of child trafficking. The movie was never trying to portray them as your average family that spend the holidays together, they are portrayed as the complete opposite! They even have a photograph book where they had false photoshoots of them during Christmas and Easter (all shot on the same day). You cannot expect apologies from a family like this because they don’t KNOW any better, which is why Red Guardian is surprised to find out his own daughters hate him, he has been a spy his whole life, same with Melina, they don’t KNOW how to operate as normal parents, which is why their sudden change from “egotistical” parents is so significant. Have you watched this movie? Or just this clip?

    I love this scene, not only is a well acted, but well directed as well. Marvel has a bad habit of putting annoying quips at the wrong time, for the duration of the movie, Thor Love and Thunder is a MAJOR example…..but this scene is a breath of fresh air, I was worried watching this in the cinema that they would have Alexei/Red Guardian or Natasha add a slight joke in the middle of Yelena speaking, to basically downplay and make fun of her for having love for her “false family” but they didn’t, they sat there and allowed her to vent and bring her emotions forwards. This movie still has the recent Marvel feel to it, more quips than needed, but it doesn’t take away from the dark atmosphere this movie is set in, you never forget how fucked up the Black Widow/Red Room program is, you’re constantly reminded that these little girls have been brainwashed since childhood to become killing machines, and using their beauty and flattery to do so. Rant aside I really like this movie, I think this is one of the best projects Marvel has made, I like the feel to this movie, I can’t say this enough but the MCU has a serious problem with pretending every character has the same personality as Iron man and Spider-Man. I was not the biggest fan of the Taskmaster twist nearing the end of the movie, but it doesn’t drive me away from this movie, I like the character, and felt threatened by her presence.

So In my head cannon she is having to purposely do an American accent because her natural one is Russian and that was from her past working for Dreykov
