I literally wanted to comment the same thing. He made me cry at that exact moment. I'm Italian too, living abroad, and mostly every Sunday my grandmother used to make ragù, the one that nobody can replicate, not even by knowing the recipe, it's all about the love and passion that you share while cooking. Love you nonna x

This man has actually changed me. Of all the amazing chefs and videos we get to watch on youtube, Gennaro's infectious personality has meant he is the only one who got me to stop with the easy junk food route and start cooking some of these delicious recipes. It does so much for your health and your mental wellbeing when you can cook something that you or your loved one can enjoy.

He did it very quickly and made it look so simple I think because he has done it countless times, but when my wife cooked this, it took quite a bit of time and took multiple steps to get it all done. Gennaro is a culinary genius, though. I cannot deny that.

Bravo Gennaro! I have made a genuine Italian ragu at least once a fortnight for over 40 years. I adore it. Of all the thousands of recipes I've read and seen over the decades, yours is the only one that has ever brought tears to my eyes. Your memories of your childhood in Italy truly moved me, as they did you. Grazie mille Gennaro. Ciao bello!

Gosh, I hate to admit it, but I was getting a little frog in my throat when I heard his mum made it and then he said ,"Do you want some?". And I don't know about you, but he looks a bit like a holy man if you look deep inside his eyes after that, but in food. It is almost comforting and heartwarming to look into. Gosh, this is what you think when you are a sensitive person! Anyone know how I am feeling?
