That deputy is in a lot of trouble, if justice is served. The kid wasn’t pointing the gun at him, nor showing intent to. Furthermore, how is the kid supposed to know if it’s a real law enforcement officer, and not a thief or criminal banging at his door? Except to answer his door with caution having his sidearm on him. Like trained military personnel would do.

The cop just kept shooting! How could he have possibly presumed fear, especially after the first shot.

Was the police officer even at the correct apartment? It was a domestic disturbance call. The Airman was home alone.

This is absolutely heartbreaking for this young man and his family. There is no ok reason this officer can come up with to justify the instantaneous and blatant blasting of this now deceased human being. God help this country. 😔

That same incident happened in farmington nm, tge police responded to the wrong house, and pounded on the door. The home owner opened the door with his firearm and the cops assassinated him at his doorway. The farmington police department was found innocent and nobody was charged. Cops get away with this, all too often.

Watching the raw uncut unedited body cam footage you can hear him say "Why the police here" so he knew it was a cop at the door why would you answer with a gun?

He said sheriff's office and he opened the door with a gun.....

@@Jacen777 wrong address, knocked and moved out of view of the peephole, victim was home alone, did not call 911 and didnt expect police to come to his home . He has the right to walk around with a gun in his hand in his own home, officer didn't take a second to realize the gun was pointed at the ground or the fact the kid didn't shoot through the door, just another second of critical thinking and this could have been avoided. This is in no way justified. The cowards the guy who sees this and thinks it's okay for law enforcement to do as the want.

@@jjdelany8130 If he believed a criminal was trying to get him to open the door...he could've kept the door locked and called 911 to verify if police were actually at his door. If you believe a criminal is outside your door screaming "police, open up", the last thing you should do is open the door and confront said individual. He was safe inside his apartment. He didn't have to open the door. Anyone with common sense understands this. The Airman made a stupid mistake with tragic consequences.

Why didn't the officer announce himself when asked who is it at the door. The officer steps back and hides and only after that he starts to announce himself. Well about that time the airman has retrieved his gun for self-defence. Also the officer didn't give the airman any time to react and drop his gun to tell him his side. The officer murdered him quickly.
