The prosecutor did not object to her release upon the terms set. If you have a beef, start with the county attorney and ask why he didn't adamantly oppose her release and argue for her confinement pending trial.

Michael is a true pillar of strength and did a wonderful job speaking on behalf of his family. The fact that he said the defendant doesn’t deserve mentioning or to take up any more space in their heads is a true testament to their strength as a family.

😢 I can’t believe she’s free when those babies aren’t free.

Why is the woman who killed these children while drunk driving not in jail until & through the trial & until sentencing when she is taken to prison? She deserves no freedom now or to be out on bail. She can drive drunk and kill more people before this trial starts. Where are the charges, murder, negligent homicide, DUI and any other applicable charges? The system IS failing this family and the two babies that woman killed. So sad & so very wrong. 😭

She posted bond or her family did. It was set at something like 1.6 million but was allowed to bond out at 10% if that 1.6 million. I saw the SUV she was driving. It was racing down the street as if she had the petal to the metal. Did she try to drive away after the crash?? I wouldn’t doubt it.

There is no excuse for this drink driver. She was drunk, and it took two days for Law Enforcement to post a picture of her. Absolutely no excuse. This has gripped my heart. This family is devastated. Condolences to the family, friends, and other persons who was injured.

Michigan needs some massive reform to its laws. It is an absolute shame and disgrace to MI that the person who CAUSED this painful loss--a known alcoholic and liar is not in custody where she belongs. MI laws should not have allowed the judge in this case to allow any bond. Now this killer's lawyers will delay matters as much as they can to AVOID ACCOUNTABILTY, continuing to allow this family to FEEL the injustice of this law.

You are correct. There always needs to be that someone, in anyone’s family, to be their pillar of strength. What a nice looking and very well spoken man who’s able to keep his emotions in check. I felt the sister’s pain of the children’s mother at arraignment. She is going to end up in the hospital from PTSD and a nervous breakdown and THAT DISGUSTING judge STILL allowed bail for that DISGUSTING MONSTER. She couldn’t even shed a tear over these 2 precious children, from what I could see, who probably can’t even have an open casket! She’s a DEMON! I hope she gets charged with capital murder and eventually never sees the light of day, other than from the inside of prison walls, much like these children who hadn’t even begun to experience life, and who will never get to see the light of day, EVER again! Many thoughts and condolences to this family and all others who are experiencing the pain and trauma, who will live with continuous visions and nightmares, forever, due to a willful and deliberate act. Her vehicle became the weapon on that day and she was the operator and causation of the intentional misuse of that weapon. Let’s HOPE a sentence to life in prison awaits her! However, I won’t be surprised at any lesser of an outcome…very sadly!

The woman is just as heinous with her choices as Darrell Brooks who drove thru a parade. She was at a high rate of speed, drunk and taking meds. I don't care if she's 66 or 26...she needs life in prison.

I'm ashamed to admit that I was born & raised in MI, but when I lived there, it was illegal for a person diagnosed with seizures to drive, unless they had been seizure free for 6 months. They then had to have medical clearance from their physician, and then cleared by the state to once again drive. If another uncontrolled seizure happened, their license was suspended again. Have they changed the laws? My heart goes out to the victims and their families. May God bless them and hold them safe. We can only pray that justice will be served. 😢

The pain I feel as they spoke . She did nothing to stop that car , no emergency brake , didn’t try to steer it , didn’t honk to alert people. She didn’t care about her medical condition enough not to drink , why does she care about it now? The boat club knew she was a drunk and never called the police ? So did they let her walk home or drive home drunk? Well now she made that bond . And a murderer is In the comfort of her home . 2 children died and 15 injured, some severely. And she is the one drinking coffee in the comfort of her home. 🤦‍♀️

Many of us thought from the very first hour that the drunk driver had connections. The failure to identify the her immediately shouted special handling to protect the woman who caused this tragedy. Why? We want to know why she was not named as the perpetrator on the day that they pulled her out of that car.

I wonder what the first responders -- including LE -- on the scene thought when they realized who the driver was. How many of them recognized her? Or even already knew her by name? How many were members of the boat club? Obviously they are not to blame, but I do find myself wondering why she's walking around free right now.

IMO, the judge wasn’t very kind to the ones that spoke at her arraignment. IMO, he acted cold. Forget being a judge for just a moment and be a human being, ESPECIALLY after the children’s aunt was barely able to speak. She appears to be on the verge of a nervous breakdown. He bonded that drunk out because money talks! Money versus justice…right off the bat! SICK!

They were about to have cake and ice cream 😭. This horrific situation goes to show how many lives are truly affected by the decisions of one person . This family did not deserve to have their lives turned upside down by a person that had such disregard for anyone other than herself. I agree with the family that the dd laws in this state are not tough enough. Countless others have walked, or only served a minimal sentence. I hope that going forward this can bring change to legislation used to sentence dd in Michigan. I know for some it may be hard to believe in a just God that could allow this to happen, however this is not the work of God and it was never intended for us to endure these heinous things as we were given free will and people choose to use their free will and without regard for others. I believe we face atonement for those decisions but I pray for peace, comfort and strength to the many families and victims affected by this situation.

😢 My dad had epilepsy and was never permitted to drive. One seizure can result in tragedy. He understood the reality of his medical condition and acted responsibly. But I learned that this woman was charged with driving under the influence. It's amazing how in 90%+ cases, a drunk driver will walk away from the devastation that they caused.

It could take years for an insurance settlement to be reached in a case like this. The insurance company will draw this out for as long as they can. The civil case will be separate from this and could take years to see the inside of a courtroom. Our Justice system is for the crooks and criminals. Innocent victims suffering never stops. Love to this family.

If by chance this woman was having seizures she knew she shouldn't be driving. The neurologist wouldn't have allowed her to drive. If it was we may never know the real truth because she should’ve pleaded guilty! Just goes to show that she’s not going to take any accountability for her chosen actions!

Yes, she managed to come up with 1.5 million dollars for the bail. Shows rich people are above the law. She'll probably get off with a slap on the wrist. I cried watching the prelim, watching the aunt breakdown and she sat there so stone faced with no emotion. This is my community and I would love to be on that jury.

She was allowed to bond out because she has money. Money versus justice from the get go. She bonded out at a total of 1.5M. Courts aren’t going to turn that down. IMO, the judge was an @ass!!
