You know what would make a Fallout title's combat unique and exciting? Making the slowtime VATS of FO4 not affect enemies who also have access to VATS. So some enemies get slowed while others remain at the same pace. Maybe this can take the form of delayed response or by actual actor-to-actor slowtiming

New vegas fanboys calling bullet types the most creative thing in the world

I like the vats system more that the basic shooting because it make sit feel more like an rpg, I can shoot just fine and that is the problem it matters a lot let even with low perception because I drop the regardless so I want to have a bigger chance to miss but have a lot bigger pay out when I hit. Also I want them to bring back shooting them in the eyes and maybe some groin stuff in there. Maybe if you get a critical in vats it does the Sniper Ghost Warrior thing where you see the bullet travel right to the testicle. lol

If you pause in between 3:21 and 3:22, the Freeside thug looks like Todd Howard.

I’ve watched and played new vegas for god knows how long but I didn’t know Luck affected enemy mishaps. Wtf.

Fallout New Vegas combat is only kinda fun against enemies that use melee... and only kinda. Don’t try to tell me that NPCs rushing you at full speed while unloading their weapons into your face and refusing to take cover or use strategy is fun. Especially when, once they get close to you, they just stand there in the open continuing to blast you from 3 feet away while standing totally still. No working with their faction mates to slowly flank you while using cover to advance, no taking a few shots and then ducking to avoid player damage, nothing. Just blast each other face to face and see who dies faster, open your inventory to gorge yourself on food and stims, and rinse and repeat. The combat in this game is nothing more than damage and health checks. Without stealth and VATs it’d be downright unplayable, and even those elements are severely lacking/broken. Sneakily snipe a powderganger from hiding, and the guy standing right next to him won’t even react. This game needs a full on remake.

true I agree with every point you made. However, I just thought the exploding bodies was funny as hell and satisfying so it draws me in for hundreds if not thousands of hours combining pc and console play time. I love the game but it has so many issues that the normal human just cannot solve alone unless guided. But, of course every game has issues and I tend to look past them to get the ultimate enjoyment and appreciation of the product created. New Vegas' combat is mediocre but so satisfying and stupid lol. Take care ✌️

There is a mod I forgot what it's called but it makes the enemies bash you or push you away when you get too close.

One thing I'll say, is that while replaying Fallout 3 I noticed its perks were pretty underwhelming to what New Vegas offers you.

I don't understand how you don't have more views. This is a very well made video. I was expecting you to say something sexist or racist lol (because the majority of NV videos with low viewers counts are usually because the creator was racist etc). BUT NO. In fact you gave a fair rip on "Glasses make you smarter..... because.... stereotypes." LOL truth. Gave you a sub, and a like, and a comment so that the algorthm gives you more exposure.

Nah, new vegas is better. It has better reload animations, sounds, animations in general, better weapon design, and etc. The guns feel better to use. The only good thing fallout 4 did was add sprinting and cod-like grenade throwing. Plus Bethesda’s left hand shit is so ugly
