Hey everyone, welcome back to another episode. Fallout it one of my favorite gaming franchises, but we all know Fallout 76 just BOMBED. But was it really as bad as everyone said it was? Is it any good today? Let's find out in a mini retrospective of Fallout 76.

Well Done video! I really enjoyed 3, 4 and New Vegas! I honestly want to give this a try at some point with all the new additions they put into it. The stat it launch it was like a really bad example of "early access" except it was a full game lol.

Yeah, I think it is VASTLY improved from the launch version, especially with the wastelanders DLC. Thanks for watching man!

I enjoyed it when it came out, and played it for about 2 yrs pretty regularly; I like the game; it still offers a style of gameplay I don’t get from other IP’s...I agree with you about the lack of solo play, and need for deeper and more varied post endgame content...but I also did get A LOT of play out of it...in the year since you posted this, you may have noticed that there are a dearth of AAA single player games outside of certain genres; that online, FPS’s with built-in storefronts are more common than ever, as is the FO76 community-based style of play...I don’t know if this is going to change, given the greater financial stability this model offers game companies...

I haven’t had a chance to play it since I don’t have the time, but I have a buddy who has put about 700 hours into 76. Seems like the ones who got past the many obvious problems love it

700 hours? Man, that’s some dedication. I guess, as with anything, games are what you make them

I came back to 76 after over a year of not playing, and I was so pleasantly surprised to hear a radio DJ. Little details like sentient and friendly npcs made the game so much more enjoyable to me

The people I've spoken with who like it usually aren't long term fallout fans. That's not a slam on them but IS another proof that hype is the enemy, even if it's hype you've created for yourself by being a long term fan of the series. They should have called it Fallout Online & it wouldn't have been so so so dishonest.

After 3500 hours in 76 I've hit a wall. The wall I've hit is that Bethesda doesn't care about its fans. I don't know if they ever cared about them. They have been pushing their microtransactions more than anything else and fallout 1st. With the addition, abandonment and later removal of nuclear winter it os clear that 76 is Bethesda's attempt at trend chasing. There are a myriad of ways they could still improve the game but they are not doing enough to make it worthwhile. The addition of the seasons has had very little point beyond getting limited time rewards. But with their willingness to add the nuclear winter rewards to adventure mode it is clear that its just a matter of time before they recycle old season rewards. There was a time I would have fought agaisnt points in your video. I was there day one of the beta. I saw what it was and what it is. And truthfully, I've put too much into that game. Got my money's worth and thats that. I'll take the friends I made and the memories I hold and move on to something new.

Gosh, that hurts to hear. So much time and effort put in and that’s how they treat fans?!

@@PressStartToContinueYT I'll probably come back once something new happens. Custom worlds are a waste of time. It's a tool for creators and modders. Maybe one day it will be something great but on launch there just isn't enough there. I'd recommend playing if you haven't in a while but if you've already done everything it's not worth playing right now. Until they add new content or change how they treat the fans.
