We are getting a Dead Space remake.

Dead Space 1 and 2 were amazing. Mixture of horror and sci-fi. Like you were Ripley from Alien and kicking ass over space zombies. Great combo.

Really surprised you never even mentioned Callisto Protocol.

Every video of yours is great. The production quality, pacing, music, sound levels, etc. Thanks for this nostalgic and interesting trip into the Dead Space/EA history. Fascinating stuff. The games are amazing, but if you’re a bit scaredy cat then I’m a frightened mouse because I can’t play these games for very long before I “nope” my way out of them. 😅

In hindsight Rancid Moon is a funny name. Makes me wonder if they had the idea for the Necromorph Moons that far back or if the name simply inspired it later.

EA happened to Dead Space

Great video. I'm big fan of Dead Space 1&2,hope remake is good. And that Calisto protocol game made by og Dead Space team makes me happy. At least we got something new.

Well if it is anything else we are getting a Dead Space Remake in similar vein of the Resident Evil 2 Remake. It won't be just updated graphics but also adding all the lore and mechanics of the previous games of Dead Space 2 gravity and maybe Dead Space Extraction details added in the game.

Any idea on what happened to lost planet?

Reality is, it has to make money. I can't blame a publisher for ending something that is a financial loss. Either you cut costs or the game gets cut. That said, we will always have Deadspace 2!

Very well done! I love this series as well and 2 might also be my favorite. I really enjoyed 3! Yes, it moved away from horror but the action was solid. EA should do a remastered or re-released set. After the success of the recent Resident Evil games, people want more horror or action/horror games. EA really needs to manage their expectations. Big Budget horror is never going to hit numbers like Battlefield or other huge series, but Dead Space is something smaller and special that expands the catalog of what you offer.

My assumption for the Wii spin-off is that the Wii had a very big user base, so they wanted to capitalize on that. Instead of trying to port the main game to the Wii, I guess the next best choice was to make a spin-off game. For example, I had a Wii and learned of dead space at some point, but didn't have a PS3/360, but upon my search I learned about Extraction.

I was late to the party. I bought DS3 when it came out but hadn’t done 1&2. I remember everyone hated it. It was returned and traded by the bagful. People were unnecessarily hard on the game. It had crossover DLC with Mass Effect, I mean, it had so much going for it. And yes, Freekstyle was fun lol. Great job on this, Kevin.

@@PressStartToContinueYT Thanks man. I would even be into a soft reboot even. But a real ending to the series is preferable.

Single player games are great, but EA makes multiplayer a requirement just like Rockstar does now, they would have to start a new studio or a have a different parent company to ever have a chance at making just a single player game. And after Cyberpunk 2077 it seems all developers are afraid to release anything at all anymore unless it is completely polished and bug free.
